Ink on paper image of a skull befitting one of the most well known and outspoken Samurai/swordsmen of the 19th century, Yamaoka Tesshu, remounted in an olive grey border patterned with vines with wood rollers. Rare Chinese Six Dynasties Painted Pottery Fuxi & Nuwa (AD 220 - 589)

This rare pottery model of Fuxi and Nuwa was made during the Six Dynasties period (AD 220 - 589). It is solid pottery and takes the from of a two-headed snake with two feet at each end. It has been "cold painted" with a creamy-white pigment, traces of which still remain.

An old stone box was beautifully carved on the cover with a five-clawed swirling Dragon and with cloud pattern at the basin.
By a well rendered craftsmanship, the covered box was in a magnificent mood by its astonishing image.
Kept in perfect condition and darken patina, there’re only minor defects found at the whiskeys and at one of the corners of the cover.
