A Celadon dish, decorated in the center with typical Longquan ware Twin Fish and underside with Lotus petals rising from the foot. Covered overall with slightly blue green glaze and crackled glaze to stoneware body. Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279) Longquan ware, collected in South Sulawesi area. Condition: restored to one large chip to rim and two hairline, further in good condition and well balance dish. It's really a good sample from Longquan kiln Twin Fish dish. Diameter: 21.5 cm.

Chinese Yuan to Ming dynasty Longquan celadon dish with everted barbed rim, the center nicely carved with a floral pattern surrounded by stylized incised floral patterns on the cavetto. The glaze is crackled overall. The underside is decorated with vertical ribbing. The characteristic unglazed burnt orange ring is within the glazed ringed foot. 10 3/8" diameter x 2" high. A rare found Southern Song dynasty black glaze tea bowl, decorated with greenish Hare's Fur. Jian ware in perfect condition. Diameter: 11.5cm.

Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.

Description:

A Longquan water dropper was in lovely melon shape.
By cute little spout, the small ewer was mold with a handle which intended to imitate the twisted vines.
It was most likely a salvage from the sea according the immensely spread foggy incursions on the surface.
Some padding grits were left at the bottom.
Despite the natural condition, this celadon ewer was well mold in nice shape, and was easy to hold in hand for caressing and fondling...

Description: A pair of porcelain whistling dolls were in creamy white slip and were sketched with black paint. Except one broken ankle on the left foot of the bigger one and was glued back, then two of them in very good condition. They whistled well even after 800 years. Height: 5.8cm, 5.0cm.

Blue & White bowl in rounded form, decorated outside with Chrysanthemum scroll and key-fret border around the rim. The center inside with rossete design. Ming dynasty 15th century Xuande-Zhendong period. Condition: restoration for one very large chip and the other normal chip to the rim, firing crack on base, further in good condition. Diameter: 14 cm and High: 6.8 cm.

In unique shaped of circular box, lower part decorated with lotus petals and the cover with a lion seated figure which three holes to the wall, it's probably used for incense burner. Covered overall with Qingbai near to Celadon glaze. Late Song-Yuan dynasty 12th-13th century. Condition is perfect. Diameter: 9.1cm and Height: 14.5cm.

Description:

A Cizhou tea bowl was in decent oval shape and was well decorated with russet splashes on the outer surface.
At the inner surface, it was in darken brownish nearing black tint when spiral molding scars were obviously observed.

For authentication, there are whitish and stardust-like incursions revealed especially obvious at the inner surface of the bowl...

Description: A Jun lotus-bud bowl was in a lovely size.
By a fine condition, the bowl was applied with dark mustard-blue glaze which was hard being yielded precisely in my pictures.
It was an excavation piece that can be clearly verified by those characteristics, like the minute whitish dots happened to the glaze bubbles, the fine crackles, the incursive whitish band around the rim where the glaze meeting with the body clay and the old-feel brownish body clay at the bottom where the mold...

A rare and nice small celadon jar decorated with iron-brown spotted on the body, covered overall with a banana leaf green glaze, base unglazed. A decorative method which was employed widely at the Longquan kilns in Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). In Japan the technique is called "tobiseiji" and was favored particularly by tea masters. A rare early Ming dynasty Hongwu period (1368-1398) underglazed-red large bowl, decorated to the interior center with a branch of flower, the cavetto wall with reversed white on red peony design below key-fret pattern. Exterior with continuously six peony flower. Condition is good, only found two firing crack lines and minor firing imperfection, otherwise no any restoration. Diameter: 25cm.

Description: A Dingyao Dish was applied with characteristic creamy white glaze.
In elegantly curved rim, the dish was decorated in the center with carved floral pattern.
It was preserved in perfect condition except some burial stains were left on the surface.

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Jar / Rice Measure

This small jar was made during the 13th - 14th century, during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Its form is often referred to as a "rice measure". It has moulded decoration around the shoulder and is coated in a finely-crackled blueish-green qingbai glaze save for the rim and base that remain unglazed.

This is a fine, beautiful and brightly coloured example of a small “Jun” ware bowl which was treated as a “manufacturing defect”. The bowl is well glazed in a bright lavender colour with pooling of a bright blue sky glaze at the base of the bowl. It would have been a fine piece if not for an overglazed which has resulted in an overflow of a big pool of the glaze down to the sagger. This large and extremely rare stoneware jar of very attractive form was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) or possibly the early part of the following Ming Dynasty, most likely at one of the kilns in Yuxi, Yunnan province. Very Rare Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Lotus Jar with Sanskrit Inscription

This very rare, possibly unique, pottery jar was made between the 10th and 13th centuries, during the Five Dynasties period (AD 906 - 960), Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province.

A finely and rare design of late 15th century small dish, decorated in the centre with a Lotus pond. Underside with figures design. Ming dynasty late 15th century, possibly Chenghua-Hongzhi private kiln ware. Condition is perfect except two short firing cracks to the base, free from restoration. Diameter: 12 cm.

 

A good sample of Ming dynasty Chenghua period blue & white dish, decorated with a white on blue Dragons and vividly incised to dragon body. Six character "Da Ming Cheng Hua Nien Zhe" within double circle on the base. Condition: damaged and glued restoration like indicated on the pictures. Diameter: 17 cm.

A rare and lovely miniature b/w jar, decorated to the body with three friends of winter, these are the pine, bamboo and prunus. Ming dynasty 15th century excavated on South Sulawesi. Generally speaking this kind of Ming b/w small jar specimen is more rare to found than the others such like Yuan or late-middle Ming type. Condition is perfect except tiny flake to glaze, soft paste body. High: 5.3cm and Wide maximum: 5.7cm.

By a firm and stable condition of the glaze which was very unusual to a Jizhou ware, the bowl was kept perfectly and preserved with all aspects of the characteristics as a genuine piece. A rare blue & white bowl, with steeply rounded sides and flared rim, decorated with a ribboned Lotus bouquet enclosed within double-line medallion, a classic scroll encircling the rim. The exterior with a band of lotus petal lappets beneath a floral meander at the rim. 13th-14th century Yuan dynasty.
