Pair Chinese Ming Dynasty Painted Pottery Tiles - Horses
This fine pair of pottery tiles was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). They are made of a dense grey pottery and have been painted in black pigment. Each tile features, in high relief and in great detail, a flying horse surrounded by clouds. Mounted and lit well, these tiles make superb decorative items.
The total length when both tiles are placed together is 51.5 cm (20.25 inches), height 25.5 cm 10 inches)...

This large and impressive pottery figure represents an official or a dignitary and was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a high-fired buff-coloured pottery that has been cold-painted in a base coat of a creamy-white pigment with details picked out in red, pink and black pigments. The figure stands upright on an integral pedestal wearing a long flowing robe under which his hands are held together across his chest...
Description: An old Yixing flower arrangement basin with inscription " Sui Qing Xe Qi" (the water is pure while the rock is unique) on one side and carved flower motif on the other side had a special Chinese scholar taste. There're some defects on the rims but would never fail the beauty of this old piece.

Rare of pear shaped vase, decorated with purple splash to the body and stand on sky blue glazed. The vase is connected with the stand. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th century. Condition is excellent, with no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Height: 21 cm.
Description: A celadon Longquan stem-cup was well molded. By a dark green tint, the glaze was well applied all over the surface except the foot ring. Motifs of flowers and branches were finely incised on the inner wall of the bowl and subtly revealed under the glaze. Authenticating firing red was obvious at the unglazed foot ring and the inside of the looped foot trunk. In quite good size and a perfect condition, the stem cup stands well in a decent look...
A nice small blue & white bowl, decorated with three friends of winter, they are bamboo, pine and prunus. Inside the center with a Chinese character within double circle, base unglazed. Ming dynasty 15th century. Condition is good with no any chips, no cracks and free from restoration. Diameter: 8.3cm and High: 4.5cm.
A nice one of Yuhuchun vase with well balance potted, decorated with floral sprays to the body. Ming dynasty 15th century Cizhou ware in perfect condition, no chip, no crack and free from any restoration. High: 26.2cm. A Lusan stem cup was in lovely size.
It was well preserved by reflecting the retrospective sheen of old condition.
Blue and white splashes were suffused against the dark brownish glaze background on the surface.
Loosening-feel body clay was revealed at the lower portion in beige tint.

A rare Blanc De Chine 'Da mo' figure, standing on the rock with sea waves pattern, right hand carry a double guard pot and all the body shown a fine details of Dehua ware works of art. Seal mark on the back with the artist name 'He Zhao Zhong Zhe' and the other with two characters 'De Hua'. 17th/18th century Fujian Dehua ware. Condition is perfect. High: 44.5cm.
A rare and fine blue & white with center decoration of the Horse against background of wave and surrounded by small continuously flowering scroll, underside with same decorated as well. Condition is perfect except some old tiny chips to the foot rim and one slightly long flake old chip to the inner foot rim, unfortunately the half left side area firing into slightly darker than the right side but no any chips and cracks to the body, well balance and excellent glaze...

It has a foliate rim and has been very attractively decorated in underglaze blue of very good colour featuring a variation of the "two deer in a garden" pattern. Although this pattern is well-known, in addition, around the rim, are various leaf & foliage patterns as well as three birds, a rare feature on such dishes...

A lovely excavated blue & white small jar in globular form, decorated with floral sprays to the both sides below 'ruyi' pattern around the shoulder. Glaze is still very fine compare to the others excavation pieces, also condition is perfect, just unfortunately have a flake chip to the base and the cobalt-blue firing into slightly blur turn to be greenish tone. Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century ware. High: 6.2cm and body wide: 7 cm.
Description: A grand root wood table screen was in a great look. By a nice brownish patina, the standing screen was being tenoned to the gnarled wood base and resembled as a rocky mountain with alcove in it. Of course it would be an ideal shrine for you to put a Buddha figure in the alcove. And it will be an attractive display item in your room with full Zen spirits. It is in perfect condition.
