Description: A nephrite Houtien jade carving was very well rendered as two monkeys. By a good-wished metaphor of Being High Ranking Officials Generations after Generations, the monkey mother was holding hands with baby monkey face to face. In a celadon tint, the jade piece was done by traditional craftsmanship. It is a very good example for Chinese jade carving for the characteristics of jade carving skills and jade material. Date: Qing Dynasty, Dimensions: 4.2cm x 3.5cm x 1.6cm.

A quaint hand-carved image of Minogame (a sea turtle) supports this antique bamboo pipe tap dating from the second half of the 19th century, the rich dark wood highly polished from a century of fond handling glows like satin. The turtle is a symbol of longevity in Japan, and often is depicted in celebratory situations. Here the creature has been chiseled out of a solid chunk of wood, head raised over the top of its shell...

This pair of Japanese handmade long square cut nails are 5" long and appear to have never been used. The nail heads are solid and shaped into a hemisphere. The silver colored decorative metal escutcheons have scalloped edges and markings to represent a flower. The escutcheons are just under 1" in diameter and have a squared center hole which exactly fits the nail shank.

A rare pair Japanese plates showing a dragon among textile-weave patterns worked in dull colored enamels, the brass or copper rims and wires showing partially remnants of gilding. The reverse decorated with further floral motifs, the base with green contre-émail. The enamel showing concavities and pits. Condition: fine, only wear to gilding. Dimension: diameter: 24.9 cm, 4.2 cm high, weight: 1400 g.

Long Chinese Qing dynasty hardwood bench crafted with four panels on the back rest, a curved front apron, and comfortable armrests. 19th century. 74 3/4" long x 29" high (17 1/2" high to seat) x 23" deep (21 1/4" depth of seat). Very sturdy and in very good overall condition. There are some minor separations from our dry Arizona climate. There is a small wood loss and old filled crack at one side of the bottom apron. Chinese Qing dynasty Shiwan stoneware bombe form tripod censer with two raised loop handles on the rim covered overall with an iridescent monochrome flambe brown glaze imitating bronze. The glaze drips over the rim into the unglazed interior. Custom wood stand. Late 19th to early 20th century. 8 3/4" diameter x 5 3/4" high (to top of handle). Very good overall condition. The censer sits at a slight angle indicating the placement of one tripod leg might be slightly off...

Aside from other jadeite pieces which we usually see that in green or tri-colors, this jadeite bracelet was originally in pure white quality with least tissues observed.
During long time of burial the jadeite's surface was incursioned to a foggy but greasy-feel patina which was a phenomenon only the nephrite jade would yield...
