What a fantastic expression worn by this Edo p. Seto Hand warmer (hibachi or properly Shuro/ Te-abure). The dark shiny Seto glaze suits well the beast portrayed. Coals would have been burned inside, heating the surrounding pottery walls, and the piece would have been placed on a step leading into the house for guests to warm their hands on or used within the house in a more formal room. It is 13 inches (33 cm) long and is in fine condition overall...

An extremely rare 'Ge' type glazed bowl, a good rounded form balance potted with everted lip rim, decorated with double crackle irregular iron-black and rust-brown crackle, known in Chinese as 'Jinsi Tiexian' (gold thread and iron wire) stopping neatly above the brown-wash foot base. Records concerning 'Ge' wares are confused and unreliable, but the major glaze was fired in an iron-neutral or oxidizing process, producing a bluish-gray or grayish-yellow such like appears to this piece...

Description: A big Qingbai bowl was elegantly carved with motifs of dancing boys amid scrolled cloud. Believed as being a product from famed Hutien kiln of Jiangxi province of 9-12th century, the bowl was in pale blue tint and was in very good condition except one faint hairline at the cavetto(about 6.5cm that in half way to the cavetto). It was almost invisible without reminding. The bowl was believed to have been highly esteemed for its once framed mouth rim...

A rare found of green glazed 'Kendi' with mammary spout and a dragon in applied relief, base flat unglazed. This kind of ware has been identified with 14th century Tz'u-Tsao kiln ware at Quanzhou Fujian province. Fairly good condition with no any restoration. High: 19.8cm.

Oribe Green runs in a curtain over the pale yellow glaze of this Edo period andon-zara oil dish. It is unglazed on bottom, measuring 8 inches (20 cm) diameter and in excellent condition, enclosed in a custom kiri-wood box.

A humorous looking dragon twists up the paper canvas, eyes on the prize, a tama or Buddhist jewel underlying a dramatically written inscription. What is extraordinary is that the dragons scaled body is performed with a single stroke of the brush! Over this has been added a shadow for the back, and embellishment of the head. It is signed Fujiki Shuchokusai, and comes enclosed in the original signed and age darkened wooden box...

A nice small jar painted by Persian imported cobalt-blue materials of continuous chrysanthemum scroll around the body. 15th-16th century Annamese ware. Condition with tiny flake chip to rim and tilt to one side, otherwise is in fairly good condition. High: 6.5cm and Wide: 7.7cm

A Ming dynasty blue & white bowl, decorated outside with continuous Lotus scroll and inside with an Emblem supported by leaf scroll within double circle, diaper pattern around the rim. This type Ming dynasty Yongle-Xuande period (1403-1435)...

A rare blue & white dish, decorated in the center with a Qilin and underside with continuous Peony scroll. Ming dynasty 15th century Thianshun period. Condition is good except a double fine hairline to the rim each approximately 2.5 cm long, firing crack to the base and a bit warped, further in perfect condition with no any chips and free from restoration. Diameter: 19.3 cm.

This bell is approximately 200 years old and was used on the camels crossing Tibet, NW China into Mongolia. It would be worn on a strap and hang loose below the camels belly between the legs. A light shake and the sound is deep and long. The bell in picture is 13" long and has a leather wrapped handle.

A good detailed quality one was ever found in Indonesia, vividly painted and decorated outside with four differently character of horse riders on good surface glaze of Ming Hongzhi period (1488-1505). Condition is good, only one short light glaze hairline appear approx 1 cm and re-touched to the foot rim one firing flaw, further in good condition. Diameter: 14.5 cm and High: 6.5 cm

Description: A white-glazed Bowl of Ming dynasty was from sea wreckage. Kept though in perfect condition, the outer surface was partially loss of glaze and left with some yellowish incursion. Some adhesives were reserved at the foot ring. The bowl rings well when tapping by fingers. Date: Ming Dynasty(AD1368-1644), Width: 14.8cm, Height: 6.8cm. Provenance: Jindezheng, Jiangxi Province

A Pair of Blue & White in square form small dish, each decorated with flowers and Butterfly, Late Ming 16th century Jiajing period. Good condition except each with fritting rim, no crack and free from restoration. Dimensions: 8.2 cm x 8.2 cm

Description: A lavender-tinted Jun bowl was shaped with straight wall. Before applying the random strokes of purple splashes, one on the outer wall and another at the inner side, the ancient potter must had been dipping the bowl in the glaze so swiftly as to leaving the body in the cavetto partially unglazed like the bottom side. By intentional purpose of the potter’s ingenuity or just a simple missed work, the well-molded bowl was therefore full of rustic joy of strong Zen spirits...

A Karatsu style shuhai sake cup with cream glaze decorated inside and out by the Zen Priest Nakahara Nantenbo, a priest who was instrumental in reviving the Zen tradition in the beginning of the 20th century. Circling the circumference is a seven character inscription, the first six reading Kaisei Fugetsu O Kan, the last we have not been able to read...

Description: A white jade pendant was carved as a Chinese characters-Suan Xi( double joys). In another good metaphor, a bat-Fu(good fortune) was carved on top of the word. A very good white jade piece like this one can ideally be threaded as a decent look pendant. Date: Qing Dynasty. Dimension:6.7cm x 4.5cm x 0.9cm
