A rare yellowish glaze globular jar decorated with blue dots. Base unglazed showing grayish tone clay. Tang Dynasty circa 618-907. Condition is very good excepted minor glaze flaked, no any restoration. High: 10 cm.

 

 

A very fine middle Ming dynasty Mingyao b/w bowl, decorated to exterior with flower medallions among clouds scroll below emblems motif reversed on cobalt-blue ground. Inside center with also reversed of ruyi white on blue, encircled by key fret pattern to rim. Condition is good with two slight long hairline, the cobalt blue tone is fine like indicated on the pictures. Seal mark to base, Ming dynasty Jiajing period. Diameter: 18.5cm

A nice Qingbai bowl, thinly potted and decorated at the interior with carved incised onion skin pattern. Southern-Song dynasty. Condition is very good except one tiny chip and invisible hairline. Diameter: 17.5cm.

A finely mold Junyao Meiping was in decent form.
It was decorated on the surface with characteristic and favored purple splashes.
Obviously unearthed from burial, the bottle was found on the surface with harden adhesives when wiring glaze crackles were yielded in a charming way.

A beautiful ancient glass bangle in blueish green color. This probably from Vietnam or Cambodia. Size: Outside diameter 6.9cm. Condition: Almost perfect. A very small almost invisible chip on the outside edge.

A nicely carved natural amber pendant of the Hand of Buddha Citron. There is a hole at the top on the piece so it can be worn as a pendant. The citron fruit may be given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. According to tradition, Buddha prefers the "fingers" of the fruit to be in a position where they resemble a closed rather than open hand, as closed hands symbolize to Buddha the act of prayer. Size: L. 3.9cm. W. 1.5cm. Condition: Perfect.

A very rare and beautiful Pyu agate carved bird. A hole is drilled from the top of the head to the bottom of the bird so it can be worn as a pendant. The bird is still the symbol for Burma. Size: L. 3cm. Condition: Perfect. No repairs.

An ancient necklace made from fossilized wood also know as Pumtek. The word Pumtek means "buried thunderbolt". This type of necklace is very rare. Size: 56 cm from end to end.

Lovely lobed dishes with a creamy white glaze. Diameter 11,2 cm. Very good condition, one of the dishes with some light brown stains, due to its long time in the soil. Song Dynasty (960-1279).

A pair of antique silver arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Ersari tribe. From an old Swiss collection. Cf. Schletzer, Dieter, and Reinhold: Old Silver Jewellery of the Turkoman: An Essay on Symbols in the Culture of Inner Asian Nomads. Berlin: D. Reimer, 1983: No. 217. Condition: good, some traces of usage, few old small losses to edges (see picture 10). Dimension: 9.5 cm long x 6 cm wide, weight: 258 g.

An early Ming dynasty Longquan Celadon bowl, decorated with lobed sides cavetto. Condition is perfect except glaze slight dull. Diameter: 11.5cm.

A model of He Xiangu holding a flower basket, the only female deity among the Eight Immortals. Worked in silver and enamel, the head, hands and basket are detachable. Base marked with Chinese characters. Dating to the late Qing or early 20th century. Condition: losses to enamel and some oxydations under the enamel, one earring with small loss. Please look carefully at the photos. Dimension: 29.8 cm high, weight: over 500 g.

A very rare carved wooden Buddha dating back to the 15th century or before. Size: H. 26.5cm. Condition: Natural ageing. The right hand is missing and a portion of the base has worn away.

Chinese Qing dynasty Yongzheng to Qianlong period round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with a central panel of lotus flowers and leaves surrounded by a band of peonies and scrolling foliage extending around the well. A similar band decorates the exterior. The base and foot rim are unglazed. 11” diameter x 2” high. 18th century. Very good overall condition. There are original production flaws along the rim (see enlargement 11)...

 

In the centre a sculpture of one of the 24 Tirthankaras. The back plate decorated with small sittimg Tirthankaras and attendants. Made in Karnataka or Maharashtra in the 17th or 18th century. Dimensions: 28x17x8,5 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.
