An exquisite minimalist set of Ten Porcelain tea cups with lacquered wooden covers and saucers made by the Zohiko studio of Kyoto and enclosed in the original compartmentalized signed wooden box. The cups are of simplistic form small round white orvs between the brush textured lacquer lids and saucers. The cups are 3 inches (7 cm) diameter, the saucers 5 inches (12 cm) diameter. Overall in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

An exquisite sake cup from the Asakiri kiln of Akashi decorated with a verse and spray of bamboo enclosed in a period wooden box signed by Yamada Takeshi (descendant of Yamada Kikutaro, Edo period founder of the kiln). It is 5 cm (2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition, likely dating from the Meiji period.

A finely cast bronze priest's bell with a nice patina and sound, dating to the Late Central Javanese Period. The body resembling a stupa with floral ornaments and garlands. The top of the bell was originally a five-pronged vajra emerging from a lotus flower. For quite an identical piece please refer to: "Indo-Javanese Metalwork" by Linden-Museum Stuttgart, no. 65. Qing Dynasty carving of a jade figure. Height of 2 inches.

A doucai tea bowl decorated with six groups of geometric shapes on the outside of the bowl on a white ground. The interior is similarly decorated with a single grouping. The base with a six character under-glaze blue Yongzheng mark surrounded by double blue under-glaze blue circles.

Condition: Very good condition - no breaks or cracks. Some slight wear to the enamels

Age: Late Qing Dynasty to Republic

Texture has been applied to joined silk panels intimating waves and frothing sea salt which has then been gilded with genuine silver by Imai Toshimitsu signed and dated 2000. Each panel is 67 x 183 cm (31 x 72 inches) and the screen is in excellent condition.

An unusual jade male dancer with his legs twirling around each other, one arm on his chest the other straight down on his side. Most of the color of the jade is gone except for some remnants of the original jade still remaining. I have strung him to be worn as a pendent. Age: Han Dynasty. Size:5.4cm. Condition: No repairs.

Orchids delicately brushed by legendary scholar Tomioka Tessai decorate this chawan tea bowl thrown by Teishitsu Gigei-In Suwa Sozan I enclosed in a double wood original signed box. The low bowl is formed in a traditional open “imported” style reflecting the literati taste for which Tessai was renowned. It is a rare chance to acquire a “Gassaku” work by these two very important turn of the century artists...

A Beautifully carved tube shaped jade. It is hard to date this piece and say that it is from the Hongshan period (3000BC). It is most likely from a later period as these item are extremely rare. A very rare 19th century elaborate head dress (Kanmuri or crown) of gilded parts inset with glass surmounted by a phoenix flanked by two dragons for use in the Japanese Noh Theater. A golden phoenix takes flight from the peak, surrounded by sun, moon and flaming jewel from which are suspended extravagant chains of glass and coral beads and gilded ornaments.
