A Chinese elongated pear form peachbloom glazed vase with everted rim. An attractive "liver" spot on one side of the vase. The glaze nicely controlled - stopping neatly, inside and outside, evenly above the crisply defined foot rim. At least early 19th century and possibly late 18th century. Excellent condition. Height about 7 3/4 inches (19.69 cm)

Description: A beautiful inkcake rest was intriguingly made of pudding stone. With agate-like stone quality, this precious scholar item was preserved very well with only some old crack lines and some minor old frets. The stand was an old Suan-Ji wood piece from 19th century. A very unusual huanghuali scholar's container made of one solid piece of wood. There is no plug at the base. These types of designs are very desirable for collectors of huanghuali pieces. Description: A Ge-typed porcelaneous censer was in tripod cylindrical shape. With beautiful crackle glaze, the censer expressed an elegant literati taste by its simple form. Kiln firing red was developed obviously between the glaze and body clay when numerous bubbles squeezing together all over the surface under the pale-blue tint. It was believed as an excavation piece. The inner side on the wall was left with marks of spreading roots...

A unique piece of zitan wood used as a sample for the scholar's woodworker. This piece is unusual as it shows a very light color of the zitan wood which is probably close to the bark area. A beautiful and well made scholar's screen made of blackwood and having the original marble insert. Most of the marble in early pieces have been replaced. The frame for the marble has a key fret design. The base has carvings of two peaches, representing longevity, and the peony for prosperity. Age: Early 19th century. Size: H. 64cm. W. 43.5cm. Condition: No repairs, all original, age crack on the marble, common for it's age.

A well carved jade frog that can be used as a pendant. Actually is was worn on the belt.It has two holes under the chin that do not go all the through. It probably had some metal clip attached to it. The color is a little lighter then appears in the photos. Age: Early 19th or late 18th century. Size: L.5cm. W.3cm. Condition: no chips or repairs. Nice smooth finish from being fingered a lot.

Description: A white jade pendant was carved as two fishes chasing a pearl. In simple and well-executed lines, the fishes were adorned with star patterns. The jade was in pale white and some yellowish tint. Whitish incursions were in dots on the surface. The jade in the pictures looks the same as we see in real.
