A Japanese Bronze Water dropper Suiteki in the form of a Samurai Helmet. Meiji period c. 1900 measuring 3 1/4 L x 3 W x 2.5 H. in excellent condition nice patina.
A very unusual huanghuali scholar's container made of one solid piece of wood. There is no plug at the base. These types of designs are very desirable for collectors of huanghuali pieces. It probably had a lid. Age: 18th century. Size: H. 7cm. W. 11.7cm.

A large vase by Takahashi Dohachi and decorated by Hashimoto Dokuzan enclosed in the original wooden box signed by both artists. Also, stored in a separate compartment is a wooden stand which appears to have once been part of a temple or altar. The vase is covered in a typical crackled Kyo-yaki glaze, and decorated in cobalt with two figures in a watery landscape, one fishing, the other on top of a stone playing the flute...
The wheel is covered with deep red coral beads. Additional strands of coral beads and the turning weight are attached to a narrow leather strap which bands the center of the wheel. The handle was hand turned. Almost 12" hight and 5" in diameter, this old prayer wheel has seen many turns.

Large Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Sheep Jar
This large and unusual pottery vessel in the form of a recumbent ram was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It has a thick cylindrical neck on its back quite a wide opening. Possible this vessel was used as base for the pole of a banner or screen support. Traces of the original "cold painted" coloured pigments can be seen.

A rare huanghuali clapper with three beautiful pieces of huanghuali. The two outer clappers are rounded at the tops while the center piece is flat on both sides.The sound of the wooden clappers sets the rhythm of the music as well as some of the actions of the performers. A fine gem of a meiping form vase by Ito Tozan. Decoration of paulownia mon in white moriage, red and gold enamel amongst presumably young, leafy paulownia growth in moriage gosu blue. The decoration with tasteful balance - some places sparse and other places active - winding from the foot to the rim. Rare Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Stem Bowl (repaired)
This rare stoneware stem bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. Both inner and outer surfaces have been profusely decorated with incised bands and lines, with a floral pattern to the inside centre. It is coated with a finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze.

A Momoyama-early Edo period gold screen depicting a happy god of fortune drinking while being pulled by deer in his elaborate wagon through a rocky landscape. The paper is wrinkled and creased with age, and the color worn, exuding a great sense of antiquity. The bold patterns and rich texture of the Edo period brocade border amplifies that feeling. The screen is 22-1/2 x 56 inches (57 x 142 cm) and has a shaped lacquered wood frame retaining antique paper backing with some repairs.
