Arrow vase of rectangular sectioned, lozenge form tapering from the broad, flared foot toward more gradually flared rim. Typical tubular decorative devices flanking the neck. The rim apparently polished down a little and reglazed (perhaps trying to match the caramel colored glaze found inside the foot.) Some loss to one of the tubular devices and less consequentially from the foot where glaze overflow was also ground flush. Otherwise acceptable and presentable condition. 19th century...

Description:A unique water basin in lovely shape was from Jun kiln of Yuan dynasty.
In almost round shape, the water basin was in beautiful blue glaze and
was supported by a well shaped foot ring. Evenly applied glaze was all over the inner and outer surfaces and stop short of the foot ring. The unglazed foot ring was adherent with the firm earth coating which was an obvious evidence for a burial piece.
A scholar item from famous Jun kiln is a rare chance for you to hold on.

This man's quilted hat would have been worn in northern China. The pattern of the quilting on the crown of the hat suggests a mongolian influence. The long sides and rear flaps are heavily padded and are each extensively quilted with a large flower and diamond background.
