This large embroidered money belt was used by Miao man for festival. The front face has delicate embroidery which is chain stitched over a black velvet background. The rear is padded and quilted home spun, indigo dyed cotton fabric. There are several areas between the different fabrics which are used as pockets for the storage of possessions. Very good condition, circa 1900-1910. excluding belt loops piece measures 21" across and 13 inches high

This child's headpiece was from a very high status, wealthy Chinese family. Basically made of 3 pieces of shaped and intricately carved leather, it was made "adjustable". Heavily decorated with additional carved elements, dragons, beads and pompoms, it still has most of the original gold paint. This is a rare treasure. approx 6" x 3.5"

Description: A decent scholar tray was in quite large size and was kept in very good condition except some old abrasions on the surface. Framed with rare Suanzi wood, the main bottom board was made of beautiful Inn-mu wood (burl wood). The patina was good while regular lines were carved on the reverse side of the bottom board and curves were shaped to the rim. Scholar tray were used to display scholar items and curiosities when the art lover would like to cherish them at hand's reach...

Description: A magnificent brush pot was made of Nan-mu wood in 18th century. In an imposing manner, this brush pot was carved with imitation of a wood trunk. Left with original wood patina and some crackles amid the surface, this brush pot was kept in good condition except loss of the bottom board. A later made bottom was added firmly on it. Description: A pair of old earrings were assembled ingeniously with natural coral beads and weaving silver patterns. With motifs of Chinese words-"Shii"(joy) on the top of the dressing pairs, an enameled work was meticulously done on it. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th century) Length: 6.5cm

Description: A beautiful Longquan celadon cosmetic covered box was excavated with perfect condition. With charming lake-green glaze and evenly applied crackles and bubbles, the box was set with shallow dishes inside and molded decoration on cover. The excavation evidences were obvious when observing at hand in details which were hard to reveal in my pictures. And THE TRUE BEAUTY IS ASTONISHING IN REAL THAN IN THE PICTURES as well...

Kept with original condition, this flint pod can well be transformed as an attractive pendant, a belt decoration or a display item within a framework. Description: A genuine excavated black glazed bowl(Temmoku) of Song or Yuan Dynasty(12th-13th Century) was preserved rarely with the original silver wrappings around the mouth rim. Though the silver wrapping foil was fragile and looked like debris, the body and the glaze of the Temmoku bowl was in firm good condition. Kept with original excavated condition without any restoration, this piece can truly be a beautiful example of a Temmoku of Song Dynasty. Date: AD 12-13 Century...

This is a fine ovid yingqing meiping, It is designed with a simple incised line without the engraving of any motif. The meipimg is divided into four equal segments all divided by two parallel incised lines. Within all this incised lines, the greenish glaze can be seen pooling at the recessed part. A luted line (pic 1 and 2)can be seen at the joint between the upper and lower half of the body. Overall, a very nice and well potted yingqing meiping,

This is a fine, beautiful and brightly coloured example of a small “Jun” ware bowl which was treated as a “manufacturing defect”. The bowl is well glazed in a bright lavender colour with pooling of a bright blue sky glaze at the base of the bowl. It would have been a fine piece if not for an overglazed which has resulted in an overflow of a big pool of the glaze down to the sagger. When it cooled down, the glaze glued the base of the bowl to the sagger...

This is a fine and exquisite quality brush stand. It is in the shape of a moth with scalloped rim. Turn the moth in the opposite direction; it looks like a wufu (bat) with the usual inverted wing in flight (pic 2). The end body of the moth or the head of the bat is in the shape of ruyi...

A skeleton sits in meditation, dried autumn grasses rustling in the wind the only sound on this unusual Edo period scroll. Above is an epitaph reading: Impermanence takes life like wind strips the petals from a flower, Neither Gods nor Saints can evade, Evil within mars the spirit, Lofty stature or humble servitude, All fall prey, Yet all can be forgiven. To the right of the seated figure is a tablet covered in Sanskrit characters...

This is a rare and good quality Ming dynasty longquan celadon export ware in very good condition. The dish stands on a short foot and then everted on a slightly flat base towards a short and flat everted scalloped rim. On the inside of the base of the celadon dish, it has a rare moulded motif with a “radiating sun ray” as compared to the usual incised or moulded lotus, floral, dragon or fish design...

A beautiful example of this exquisite art form in a floral vase on tinted silver foil background. Measuring approx. 6 inches tall 15.5 cm. In excellent condition no damage. A fine example would be a nice addition to any collection.

Description: A beautiful agate "Juia" was excavated in intact condition without any incursions. With fantastic image, this pendant or an earring can be authenticated by its manual craftsmanship. Ex. the cutting sections of the agate surface with ridges can be observed that it was made by simple instruments and manual cutting skills. And the polishing was omitted without special attentions at the tips of the cutting ends and at the inner side of the rim...
