An extraordinary blue & white saucer dish, decorated at interior with a wings dragon surrounded by cloud and wave motif, diaper pattern around the rim. The exterior with Mythical animals on the back ground of sea waves. Ming dynasty 15th century, possibly Chenghua period. Condition: restored chips to rim, a glaze hairline to the center, further in good shape. Diameter: 12.8 cm and High: 3.2 cm.

A blue & white bowl, nicely painted and good cobalt-blue tone, decorated outside with landscape design. Ming dynasty 15th century, possibly Zhengdong period ware. Condition with small restored to the rim area. Diameter: 14.4 cm.

Ming dynasty Chenghua period blue & white bowl. Condition is perfect, except firing imperfection inside and slightly rough to the foot rim, otherwise is very good Chenghua Mingyao ware example excavated on South Sulawesi. Diameter: 15 cm.

Description: A beautiful Longquan celadon cosmetic covered box was excavated with perfect condition. With charming lake-green glaze and evenly applied crackles and bubbles, the box was set with shallow dishes inside and molded decoration on cover. The excavation evidences were obvious when observing at hand in details which were hard to reveal in my pictures. And THE TRUE BEAUTY IS ASTONISHING IN REAL THAN IN THE PICTURES as well...

A rare blue & white Yuhuchun/Pear Shaped vase, vividly painted and with main decoration of Peony flower. Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century. Condition is broken and has been good restored looks like perfect. High: 21.4 cm.

A blue & white bowl, decorated simple outside with five butterfly and living some white space, inside with typical Ming dynasty 15th century conch shell in the center within double circle. Ming dynasty late 15th - early 16th century Chenghua-Hongzhi period. Condition is perfect except one fine hairline, no chips and free from restoration as well. Diameter: 14.7 cm.

Description: A pair of old earrings were assembled ingeniously with natural coral beads and weaving silver patterns. With motifs of Chinese words-"Shii"(joy) on the top of the dressing pairs, an enameled work was meticulously done on it. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th century) Length: 6.5cm

A blue & white bowl, with finely and well balance potted, good cobalt-blue tone. Decorated with simple four Scroll Medallion at the exterior, interior center with a floral spray within double circle. It's very rare type of design was found on the Ming dynasty 15th century pieces. Condition is perfect except old chips and flake to the foot rim, no cracks and free from any restoration. Diameter: 14.5 and High: 6.5 cm.

A recent excavated Sawankhalok ewer, rarely pear shaped with Dragons handle and to the spout as well, decorated with incised a Royal figurine and a Fish among floral scroll on the body painted with an underglaze iron-brown wash. It is the rarity Sawankhalok 15th-16th century pieces was ever found in South Sulawesi "Bulukumba" area, would be open for inquiry after re-build and repaired. High: 24 cm.

Description: A magnificent brush pot was made of Nan-mu wood in 18th century. In an imposing manner, this brush pot was carved with imitation of a wood trunk. Left with original wood patina and some crackles amid the surface, this brush pot was kept in good condition except loss of the bottom board. A later made bottom was added firmly on it. Date: Early Qing Period(16th-17th Century) Height: 18.2cm Width: 20cm depth: 16cm

Description: A decent scholar tray was in quite large size and was kept in very good condition except some old abrasions on the surface. Framed with rare Suanzi wood, the main bottom board was made of beautiful Inn-mu wood (burl wood). The patina was good while regular lines were carved on the reverse side of the bottom board and curves were shaped to the rim. Scholar tray were used to display scholar items and curiosities when the art lover would like to cherish them at hand's reach...

This child's headpiece was from a very high status, wealthy Chinese family. Basically made of 3 pieces of shaped and intricately carved leather, it was made "adjustable". Heavily decorated with additional carved elements, dragons, beads and pompoms, it still has most of the original gold paint. This is a rare treasure. approx 6" x 3.5"

This large embroidered money belt was used by Miao man for festival. The front face has delicate embroidery which is chain stitched over a black velvet background. The rear is padded and quilted home spun, indigo dyed cotton fabric. There are several areas between the different fabrics which are used as pockets for the storage of possessions. Very good condition, circa 1900-1910. excluding belt loops piece measures 21" across and 13 inches high

The exterior is divided into eight panels, each filled with a simple spiral and dot motif. Ming dynasty 16th-17th century. Condition: damaged in several pieces and restored. Diameter: 14 cm.

A blue & white bowl, decorated outside with "Anhua" of flower sprays, inside with Chrysanthemum flower in the centre and diaper pattern around the inner rim. Four Chinese character mark on the base "Yong Pau Chang Chuan". Ming dynasty 16th century. Condition with D shape re-stuck and restored, further in good condition. Diameter: 12 cm and High; 6.2 cm.

This Dong festival hat is wonderfully embroidered with wrapped thread technique. It is further embellished with gold and silver bits edging the fabric design. At the back is the traditional silver ornament of butterfly and hanging bells to keep evil spirit away

Description: An exqusite wood carving depicts magpies on plum branches. With skillful craftsmanship, two birds playing within knaggy branches was naturally carved on the construction of the openwork. An example of Chinese traditional wood work. A reserved inlay piece was believed 'cause grooves were obvious on the reverse side. Possibly a relic of a pendant and can be recovered as one after some new inlayed work. Date: Qing Dynasty (18th Century) Length: 5.8cm Width: 3.6cm Depth: 1.9cm

An attractive bowl, decorated at the exterior with Children playing kite among the tree. Ming dynasty 15th century Chenghua Mingyao ware. Condition with one "L" shape hairline and re-touched, further in good condition. Diameter: 13.7 cm and High; 5.6 cm.

From the CongJiang in Gui Zhou province, this drinking horn is carved from water buffalo. It is a thick (and heavier weighted horn) which, according to my Miao friends is considered an inferior horn. So, this piece would have been owned by a "Poorer" family. It is wonderful primitive art object with carvings that are full of symbols reflecting Miao culture and legends. The hole in the tip would have held a string or metal ring to facilitate hanging the horn...

An haunting 17th century sumi-e image of a goose at twilight by Kano Toun (1624-1694) in the original Edo silver threaded brocade border patterned with clouds, upper and lower extensions of heavy coffee colored cloth ending in ivory rollers. The almost complete dominance of white seems to convey a passage through space, from clarity into obscurity, leaving the viewer with a slight sense of loss echoing in ones memory...

Han Dynasty Cocoon Jar (206 BC-220 AD). The distinctively plump, ovoid form of this jar, imitating the shape of a silkworm cocoon, has a fair amount of the original paint remaining on the body. Characteristic swirling cloud / scroll designs in reddish-pink and white cold-paint pigments decorate the surface. This jar is in very good, “as excavated” condition with no visible repairs, one chip to the rim of the mouth (see photos), as well as some burial dirt still attached...

Description: A strand of rosaries was assembled by 108 pieces of old Zhi-Tan beads. Among them, old coral and elephant bone beads were decorated. Old beads were getting hard to find. All these beads were believed from Tibet, now were ingeniously strung as a decoration item. Date: Late 19th Century.

Ming dynasty 15th century , Xuande period, excavated on South Sulawesi area together with item #2151. Condition with one tiny flake chip with associated hairline, glaze degraded, further in good condition and free from any restoration as well. Diameter: 14.5 cm.

An attractive blue & white bowl, decorated at the exterior with four windows among Shou characters and each window with two wise man on the back ground of landscape. The interior center with Shou immortal sitting on the bird, it’s very rare design was ever found on middle Ming dynasty Jiajing (1522-1566). Condition with slightly large D shape re-stuck and restored, otherwise is a fine example design of Chinese taste bowl. Diameter: 14.8 cm.

A nicely blue & white bowl, decorated inside with Tibetan characters supported by continuously flower and leafy scroll. The exterior with Emblems motif and supported with the same floral pattern. Ming dynasty Thianshun to early Chenghua period ware. Condition and glaze is very good except one very light glaze hairline appears on the enlargement 4 & 11, no chips and free from restoration. Diameter: 14.8 cm.

Blue & White bowl, decorated outside with Emblems motif and leaf scroll, inside with a simple floral motif and key-fret border around the inner rim. Ming dynasty 15th century Xuande-Zhendong period or possibly earlier. Condition with re-touch a tiny flake chip and star glaze hairline appears on the enlargement. Diameter: 14.5 cm and High: 6.8 cm

A rare blue & white Kendi with Islamic style elegant shaped, decorated with lotus panels filled with wave and floral sprays motif. Ming dynasty 15th century, Xuande-Zhendong period. Condition: one nail chip to the rim, the tip of spout is missing and further in good condition. High: 15 cm.

This traditional style handwarmer has split handle with copper fittings. All around the body is a subtle etched design which is now difficult to see because of the heavy patina. Makers mark is on the bottom. It shows signs of heavy use. Approx 5" across and 4" high with handles extended

A finely blue & white dish, decorated in the center with "vajra" design and underside with floral spray. Ming dynasty 16th century Zhengde period. Condition and glaze very good, only re-touched tiny chip to rim, otherwise is excellent. Diameter: 20.5 cm.

This is a small earthenware Sui dynasty (A.D 581 - 618) lotus design comestic box. It has three small rounded compartment. The top part shows the lotus bud, pods and leave. The three flowers below are shown as three small comestic boxes in melon shape.

Aside from some abrasions, there are only minor chips at the base (picture 6). Other than that, it is in good condition.

The measurement of the yueyao comestic box is: Length 8.3cm and the Height is 5cm.

Description: An enamel covered box of Qing dynasty was kept well and with an old auction sticker of the Christie's on it. Decorated with beautiful motif of flowers in four parts including at the cover, metal wire was chased into the scarlet ground and formed with archaic regular lines. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th Century) Condition: Two minor old defects. One was at the rim of the cover while the other was at the bottom. Height: 7.9cm Width: 6.3cm
