By the dark chocolate-brown glaze underneath, strings of bead-like mottles were decorated in the cavetto.

The center painted in deep underglaze blue with a lady and a dancing boy in a fenced garden, the border showing female figures under a willow, flowering trees and geometric patterns. A fine Japanese bronze vase with moulded designs of Shishi dog and flowers. Measuring approx. 9 inches tall in excellent condition with beautiful patina.

This is a small earthenware Sui dynasty (A.D 581 - 618) lotus design comestic box. It has three small rounded compartment. The top part shows the lotus bud, pods and leave. The three flowers below are shown as three small comestic boxes in melon shape.

Aside from some abrasions, there are only minor chips at the base (picture 6). Other than that, it is in good condition.

The measurement of the yueyao comestic box is: Length 8.3cm and the Height is 5cm.

Creamy-feel, crackled glaze with old body clay revealed.

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Jar / Rice Measure

This small jar was made during the 13th - 14th century, during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Its form is often referred to as a "rice measure". It has moulded decoration around the shoulder and is coated in a finely-crackled blueish-green qingbai glaze save for the rim and base that remain unglazed.
