A Blue and white large dish decorated with chrysantemum, plan and around the flattened edge with scrolling flower. Width = 36 cm. Kangxi (1662-1722). Condition : very good with one hairline and two small chips (see enlargement).

Pale green glazed to footrim. Fluted cavetto, freely peony spray in the center. Broad firing ring burnt red on the base. Diameter : 28 cm Period : 14 th Century, Longquan Kiln, Zhejiang. Condition : minor chip on the rim, no crack, hairline or restoration.

This flap style hat was commonly used by the men in the cold winters of Northern China, formerly Manchuria, now considered Heilungjiang Province. Padded and lined with silk velvet fabric on the inside and covered with silk satin fabric on the outside, the different layers were quilted together with a decorative floral pattern.

There is a label sewn into the back but any information on it has been worn way from use. The hat is in good condition:no rips, no tears, no holes...

Sourced from Rong Jiang area of China, the silver sectioned container was made and used by the Miao ethnic minority as a smoking accessory. Worn hanging from a belt, the collection of pipe cleaning tools would act as a toggle to counter weight the container at the other end. Made from low grade silver, the 3 sectioned container has an etched and pierced design and is held together with handmade chain...

This bell is approximately 200 years old and was used on the camels crossing Tibet, NW China into Mongolia. It would be worn on a strap and hang loose below the camels belly between the legs. A light shake and the sound is deep and long. The bell in picture is 13" long and has a leather wrapped handle.

A translucent nephrite jade "bi" of a very light cream color (off-white). Both the front and reverse are beautifully carved with the same design of a variety of "curl" designs. An ancient panel relief depicting Buddha and Bodhisattva gathered around him. The sculpture is deeply carved from a single block of schist. Measuring 24 x 13 x 3 cm. in antique condition. Such schist friezes such as this were some the walls of Buddhist shrines, together making up large story panels telling tales from the Buddha's life. These stories would have been read, either casually or ceremonially by Monks and lay Buddhists alike...

There are few roads in New Guinea, with the rivers being used as transportation arteries. The various indigenous groups living along the Sepik River of New Guinea make canoes made from hollowed logs and the prows were often carved in the form of crocodiles. Many of the tribes or villages can be recognized by the style of the croc prow of the canoe. This croc head is the remains of an old canoe prow from the mid region of the Sepik river. It is unusually finely carved and nicely detailed...

A Japanese carved Ivory netsuke of Daikokuten artist signed in very fine condition measuring 6 cemtimeters or 2.5 inches tall. Daikoku is variously considered to be the god of wealth, or of the household, particularly the kitchen. He is recognised by his wide face, smile, and a flat black hat. He is often portrayed holding a golden mallet called a Uchide Nokozuchi, otherwise known as a magic money mallet, and is seen seated on bales of rice, with mice nearby (mice signify plentiful food).

A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. Description: A boxwood carving of a sitting Lohan was depicted finely by affluent craftsmanship. Rendered in a unique characteristics to the features and on the limbs, the Lohan expressed a very unusual atmosphere.Preserved in a very good patina on the surface, the excellent wood piece was kept in perfect condition without any defects. Dated affirmatively as a piece from 1800 years ago, the pot was applied with unusually-seen brown glaze and was molded with a wide mouth which in flat rim with wall.
