A Cizhou pillow was preserved in very good condition.
When decorated on the frontal side with incised motifs of fishes, flowers and water weeds and by a ring-punched ground, the pillow was left being unglazed at the bottom.
Naturally and vibrantly carved, the motifs were rendered in a dated photographic characteristic which we usually seen in the wares of northern regions of early periods.

In unique shaped of circular box, lower part decorated with lotus petals and the cover with a lion seated figure which three holes to the wall, it's probably used for incense burner. Covered overall with Qingbai near to Celadon glaze. Late Song-Yuan dynasty 12th-13th century. Condition is perfect. Diameter: 9.1cm and Height: 14.5cm.

This kind of Mask is sculpted with minimal work taking advantage of natural deformations. The natural material would be tree roots, at least that is the information provided by the sellers. Some of these masks would however be old and used as burlesque masks during the various festivals. The parts with nodules are preserved with a minimum of modification to represent the eyes and sometimes the mouth. This gives each mask a unique look of puffy, hideous faces...

An attractively carved okinomo, depicting three sparrows on a branch, made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911) for export to Europe or the U.S. Condition very good. There is one crack which runs through the centre of the branch and finishes as a hairline on the first birds head. The ivory displays the usual age yellowing - most visible on the back view...

Clips work perfectly. Signed on back H. FRED SKAGGS STERLING HAND MADE. Famed Native American Hopi silversmith Charles Loloma gave credit to Skaggs for inspiring him to make jewelry.

Perfect for serving tea cakes and drinks, this 10-1/4" across salver is heavy and Regency plate was the top quality silver plate offered by Birks. It has an 8-3/4" interior and fine engraved decoration; it has the Birks Regency Plate mark along with E.P. ON COPPER 1033 on the back. A fine transitional period Wucai/ Five colour jar, decorated with a pair of Fu Dog among flowers scroll in green, yellow and red enamel. Transitional late Ming to early Ching period, 17th centuries. Condition: flake chips to foot rim, one kiln adhesion and very light enamel wear, otherwise is perfect. No crack, no chips at mouth rim and free from restoration. High: 10.6 cm.
