This pendant is classic Arts & Crafts. Signed “Queensway”, and marked Sterling Silver, it sports beautiful enamel which shades from cobalt blue into a dark green. Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a celadon-white porcelain ground with two deer standing in a rocky landscape under a pine tree with a bat flying at the upper left. Bats and deer shown together symbolize blessings and wishes for high rank and official salary. The pine is a symbol of longevity. Four bamboo leaf sprays are at the outer rim.
