A traditional scholar's utensil of a brush-licker was well carved in leaf's shape.
In great patina, the wood piece was meticulously rendered to imitate a real plant.
It was in stylized form with joyful taste of the Chinese literati.

Showing different scenes of a procession with musicians, court officials and ladies etc. Each is lightly mounted on paper and bordered with a blue silk ribbon.
