Blue & White compartment dish, composed of nine individual dishes of pentagonal and one octagonal shape in the center to form a single sweetmeat dish, each dish decorated with a landscape of mountains, rivers, boats and figures, the underside of each with bamboo sprays all in underglazed blue. The Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York made jewelry and decorative objects of patinated bronze with sterling overlay in cut out patterns. They were in business from 1906-1929 and although they did not sign their jewelry, their style is so distinctive it can easily be identified. This 2 1/4" by 1 1/4" pin is a fine example of the jewelry from this shop. It is in beautiful original condition and a wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts period jewelry.
This is a gorgeous three dimensional sterling bracelet with large cabachons of green agates by Horacio De La Parra. A very early piece, c.1940, it pre-dates the eagle mark. Here is a splendid locket depicting some sort of creature: zephyr? Lion? Or some other mythological critter? He has a diamond in his mouth, and his eyes are red stones (too small to ID).
