A rare black and white Ching jade of a sleeping cat. Black and white jades are very rare and the carver uses the two colors to fit the carving making a beautiful black and white cat. It has a hole drilled at the tail and can be worn as a pendant. Size: L. 4.00cm, W. 2.5cm. Condition: No chips or repairs.

Of pale green glass, with handle and rim of blue-green, this jar, or ewer, is nicely formed, with flared neck and ribbon like handle. Measuring 6 3/8" high and 3 1/2" wide including handle, the vessel has interior mineral deposits, and iridescence on the surface. In good condition, with visible hairline below rim and under handle (the photo accentuates the hairline). Has paper tag with previous collection data, and was acquired pre 1970...

Various samples of good large shoutern Song celadon jar and bowl, these shard are covered with celadon glaze, there is good sample drawing of twin fishes. this shards is very good for studying and comparison to any one who interested in studying early Chinese porcelain.

Original Painting by Zhāng Shūqí (Chinese: 张书旗; 1901-1957) a Chinese painter from Zhejiang, noted for painting flowers and birds. He studied at Shanghai under Liu Haisu. For a time he taught at the National Center University. From 1942 to 1946, he lived in the United States. Measuring 12" high (just under 31 cm)this cut glass ewer or claret jug is mounted with silver (800) and has an indistinct makers mark and the silver standard for Germany introduced in 1884, the quarter moon and crown.
