Description: This ancient jade plaque with incursions caused probably by metal chemicals was kept well under earth for almost 3000 years. From the drilling holes on two ends, we can be sure that this plaque was used to be fastened with cloth or with identical jade plaques to form a funeral jade cloths for deceased people.

The spherical body consisting of two hemispheres, locked together by a bayonet fitting. Each half reticulated with five roundels, two of them stylized shou characters and inlaid with floral motifs in mixed metal. The insert of ring gimbals with the central bowl is missing.
