Composed of a continuous narrow silver band wound around a graduated band of flexible material, this necklace is designed to hug the base of the neck and move with it. It dates from the 1950s or early 1960s, and bears a partially worn sterling mark at one end. The clasp is very secure and the necklace has retained its shape, showing hardly any signs of wear. Here is perhaps the most dramatic piece that I have ever held. Huge and magnificent and if that is not enough it is in excellent condition without one dent or ding. The drop is 3.5in. long and 2.5in. across. The peacocks are 2.75in. tall that go around the neck. The repousse is thick and with great dimension weighing 146 grams.
