A very rare wood panel, covered with a white ground and decorated with a painting of a bodhisattva. This panel was found in a cave temple in the Dunhuang mountains in the Gansu Province. We acquired a group of six panels from a Dutch collector who bought the panels in China in the 1980's. Dimensions: 46x20 cm. Tang Dynasty (618-906).Wooden objects from this period are quite rare.

Description: In elegant shape and beautiful sky-blue glaze, the lotus-bud bowl was originated from Jun kiln of Song Dynasty. Jun wares were among the five unique kilns of Song Dynasty. They were famous for their sophisticated blue and sometime purplish kiln effect. Maybe there’s no purplish glaze effect here for this piece, but the well proportioned shape and the evenly applied blue glaze rendered had fully yielded the elegant mood of the Song ware...

A Blanc De Chine statue were uniquely in a subject of the praying Catholic pupils.
Obviously made for the western market, this porcelain pieces was a product of Dehua county, Fujiang province of Qing Dynasty, 19th century.
It was in a perfect condition without any defects.
It was an amusing piece too especially in this holy season.

Description: A white jade pendant was carved by a Chinese character-Suan Xi( double joys). By another motif in good metaphor-a butterfly being carved as decoration on top, the pendant was an elegant hanging piece in good nephrite Houtien quality. Qing Dynasty. Dimension:7.2cm x 4.2cm x 0.6cm

Chinese Qing dynasty Tongzhi mark and period 5-petalled foliate form porcelain footed bowl decorated on the exterior with alternating black and red calligraphic inscriptions set against a white porcelain ground. The bowl has a turquoise interior and gilt at the rim. A short foliate form base is decorated with a band of red scrolls. The turquoise glazed deep recessed base holds an iron-red zhuanshu 6-character Tongzhi mark on a square white ground. The foot is unglazed...

This pair of Kingfisher hair ornaments are from my personal collection. The kingfisher bird feathers are in very good condition and the ornaments are 4 inches across at their widest point. Each piece has its original hair pin attached to the paper back with a wire.

Description: An ivory pumpkin was delicately carved in Ming period (15th-16th Century). Kept with charming warm patina and obvious aged ivory tissues, the toggle was in good feel when fondling in the palm. A typical Chinese curiosity for connoisseurring was rarely found these days. Referent material can be found in the Published: Fang jing Pei, Treasures of the Chinese Scholar (Weatherhill, 1997). Some old defects like a hole and missing section of the stalk were found...

Description: In plain and simple form and with unusual length, this paper weight was made of precious Suan-zi wood. Had been used in scholar's practice of calligraphy and Chinese paintings, the paper weight was preserved in very good condition only with some old abrasions and an old chip on the underside at one of the ends. Description: One exquisite Jun stand with subtle purple splashes and elegant five-foliate rim was preserved in perfect condition. Reserved with obvious burial deposits and incursions which causing some pinhead holes on the surface, the stand's surface was over all in retrospective glaze luster. Naturally rendered bubbles were yielded under the glaze...

A small tea or wine pot and cover well decorated in Chinese taste in mid 18th Century style with "famille rose" enamels. This item was probably made for export during the second half of the 19th Century (c1870 to 1900). Condition - very good - there is wear to the gilding but no damages and no restoration...

Arrow vase of rectangular sectioned, lozenge form tapering from the broad, flared foot toward more gradually flared rim. Typical tubular decorative devices flanking the neck. The rim apparently polished down a little and reglazed (perhaps trying to match the caramel colored glaze found inside the foot.) Some loss to one of the tubular devices and less consequentially from the foot where glaze overflow was also ground flush. Otherwise acceptable and presentable condition. 19th century...

An attractively painted enamel box and cover made in China for export (circa 1891-1908) during the second half of the reign of the Guangxu emperor. condition - excellent - one or two very minor surface scratches - no damages and no restoration...

"Chinese beauty is", according to my Chinese friend, "she should walk like a weeping willow, her eyebrows should be fashionably shaped like its leaves and her long fingers must not show any trace of hard work" – I kind of love this part... Here she is sitting in a chair waiting to be carried by her new husband.

This is a very famous Chinese scene, new bride going home to visit her mother for the first time. This ritual follows three days after the wedding...

A Yinqing covered box was in decent look.
In round shape, the cover was decorated on the surface with carved motifs of peony flowers.
In the basin, there're squeezed and mold lotus plants were well rendered and adhered to the cavetto.
The over all condition of the box was perfect when some incursions were happened to the ridges and rims...

By enduring old patina, the wood washer was in handful size that can be easily hold for caressing or treasuring.

Description:A unique water basin in lovely shape was from Jun kiln of Yuan dynasty. In almost round shape, the water basin was in beautiful blue glaze and was supported by a well shaped foot ring. Evenly applied glaze was all over the inner and outer surfaces and stop short of the foot ring. The unglazed foot ring was adherent with the firm earth coating which was an obvious evidence for a burial piece. A scholar item from famous Jun kiln is a rare chance for you to hold on.
