Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, here is an English brooch featuring a large peridot (1 cm x 6 mm or 3/8” x 2/8”), and, on either side, seed pearl-set gold shamrocks. Flanking those are 3 demantoids garnets per side, plus 1 above and 1 below the peridot. Peridots symbolize spring and youthfulness, and it is said to bring health and wealth. All the precious stones are represented in this elegant 14Kt yellow gold openwork flower ring. The 3 flowers are set with emeralds, sapphires and rubies. Each flower is centered by a full-cut diamond. The openwork design is bordered on either side by pave set diamonds. The approximate weight of all diamonds is 0.20Ct, while the sapphires, rubies and emeralds in each flower weigh approximately 0.35Ct. Rare Vietnamese 14th Century Celadon Glazed Moulded Stoneware Bowl
This rare stoneware bowl was made during the 14th century. It has a foliated rim and the whole of the inner surface is decorated with a moulded pattern comprising two bands of multiple parallel lines radiating out from the centre of the bowl in the form of thin flower petals. The pale yellowish-green glaze is finely-crackled. To the glaze on the inner surface are "spur marks" left by kiln spacers.

A young girl, her hair loosely bound, drifts off into a fond memory with a smile as she brushes a letter, the reem of paper draped from her left hand, the bamboo brush idle in her right. Incredible detail from the Kinkozan Kiln in Kyoto stamped on the pale clay of the base. It is 18 cm (7 inches) long, roughly the same height and in excellent condition. Better known for Kyo-satsuma style pottery works, this is a rarity.
