This Korda 'riding guard' from the Thief of Bagdad is gold plated base metal. This item was inspired by the guards on horseback who, in the film, make their way through the crowd, for the princess' arrival. Magnificent KJL! It is gold plated metal, it is chunky, and it is very dramatic. This elegant necklace has the look of ancient times and was, perhaps, designed by Kenneth Lane in honor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian show in the 1970's. It fits like a choker and has the effect of a large bib. 14 1/2" inside length, front link is 3 3/4" top to bottom. It is thick and chunky.
