A striking necklace and matching screw back earrings with layers of copper and brass circles by Winifred Mason Chenet, who was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She reportedly worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler.

Circa 1960 mid 20th century modernist fan rectangular station copper bracelet signed REBAJES for Frank Rebajes, the most successful modernist jewelry manufacturer of the mid century. Born in the Dominican Republic in 1907, he came to New York in 1923 to seek his fortune, establishing his own factory in 1932, and his own Fifth Avenue store in 1942.

An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.
Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.

Late Art Deco to early retro and not easily found by this jewelry maker? This geometric bracelet is signed: ROLLED GOLD, KJ on feather for Kollmar & Jourdan, Made in Germany. This firm was established in 1885 in Pforzheim Germany and according to research destroyed during WWII, rebuilt and out of biz in 1977.

A very unusual hand wrought copper necklace with lightly hammered curved links. The end of each link slips through a small slit and is then hammered flat so it won't come out. Hard to explain but ingenious!
The necklace measures approximately 34" around. There is no clasp, meant to slide over the head. Unsigned.
In very nice condition with a dark warm patina and lots of attention to detail.

A vintage modernist brooch with a whimsical three dimensional Man in the Moon face in copper.
Measures 1" at the widest and 2 3/4" high. Made of oxidized copper with overlays for the eyes, nose and mouth. Rollover clasp holds securely.
Would work on a lapel or even suspended from a chain. Fine condition. Well constructed.

Bracelet season is here! Flower power mid century well made gold plated matte enamel link bracelet signed: K in a circle and Made in Taiwan. Well made with ten colors, which include one red flower, of matte surface enamel poured into brass chambers of flowers and leaves happily dancing against a cobalt blue and cerulean blue background.
7 3/4" end to end X 1 1/2" wide X 2mm thick.
So hippy dippy 60s yet so today! Strong push box clasp. Don't let this one get away...

A great, early copper and silver metal cuff bracelet by Francisco Rebajes with a large layered stylized fish in the center.
Marked with the stylized Rebajes on the end. Measures 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Could probably be adjusted slightly. Measures 2" wide. There are some spots, areas of tarnish and minor surface scratches to the finish.

Stamped, Cooke
Composed of a continuous metal band wound around a glass cabochon, this pendant has a clever design and sophisticated look. It needs only a simple cable chain and a dark fabric to bring out the cloudy, art glass that highlights pale pink or gray, depending on the light. The pendant measures about about 2 inches long. The silver chain in the last photo is sold separately.
