Monumental sterling cuff bracelet with a beautiful design of twisted silver loops and arched terminals by Mexican designer Carmen Beckmann. She is one of the few well known women Mexican silversmiths of her time, active primarily in the 60's and 70's and having a shop in San Miguel de Allende. A rare example of Jose Luis Flores's work to come upon, this distinctly modernist necklace made my day when I discovered it. I have in the past sold the matching bracelet to it but this specific form eluded me for the longest of times and I am thrilled to be offering it here. Made up of links constructed using overlay, hand-cutting and chasing as well as oxidation, it brings to mind Teran's biomorphism and the design's execution is flawless...

Wonderfully designed cuff bracelet by Henry Steig, a well known Modernist jewelry designer working in New York City in the 1950s. In 1950 he opened a New York City shop at 51st and First, and a summer store in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In 1955 he moved his NYC shop to 52nd and Lexington. The design of this ridgid bracelet is ingenious, as the opening fits over the bulb of your wrist for comfort. Signed "Henry Steig, sterling". Excellent condition.

Vintage sterling silver pin or brooch designed and signed circa 1942 by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The pin measures 1 5/8" X 1 1/4". Beautiful condition. Circa mid-century, this is a fabulous necklace and a real attention grabber. Measuring 4 3/4" wide at the top of the centerpiece, 2 5/8" wide at the bottom, it's a huge piece which lays beautifully upon the neck and frames it perfectly. A sterling silver hand wrought brooch with a turquoise stone in a floral design by the noted Arts and Crafts jeweler, Mary Gage.

The brooch measures 1 1/8" in diameter and 1 1/8" high. Closes with a secure rolling clasp. Has a warm patina. Marked Mary Gage Sterling under one side of the clasp on the back. In a design with lots of tendrils that she is known for.

Has a very hand made feel, warm patina and organic design. Fine example of Arts and Crafts period metal work.

This fine piece is made of silver, with a gold wash: vermeil. It is a brooch and pendant measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2". The large, Eilat stone, a gemstone, has great color, is bezel set and measures 1 1/2" x 1" x 1/8". The back is marked SILVER with the Hebrew letters meaning "silver" that sound like "kesef" in English, (from right to left kaf, samech, feh). The are a couple of other hallmarks beneath. This piece has good heft: 1 ounce / 28 grams. It is in great condition...

Look carefully at the full underside of the bracelet for the clear but spread apart (hard to get all in one photo) hallmarks revealing AP, an eagle 22 and sterling Mexico for Abraham Paz. Unusual Victorian silver plate walnut box motif scent holder with good luck charms, comprised of a hinged intricate designed walnut with a wishbone on a chain hanging from one side. The box opens to reveal a white metal double-sided picture locket and a loose seal having a horseshoe and nail motif, unmarked but of English origin, circa 1860-1900; Measurement- 1 3/4 inches long x 1 1/2 inches diameter; Condition-Very good with missing scent bottle and bracket, wear to silver plate.

This Victorian Scottish sterling silver and agate kettle charm is hand engraved and inlaid with banded agate. It is a genuine mid 19th Century antique. There are no hallmarkds but it does test sterling silver. The charm is in very good condition. It is 5.8" x 1/2" approximately. I have seen these priced as high as $695.00.

Over the top gorgeous vintage sterling and turquoise cuff bracelet by Frank Patania Sr. The stones are most likely bisbee and the color is spectacular, deep and vivid. Measuring 6" around in the inside with an additional 1 1/4" opening, it is 2" wide and weighs a hefty 129 grams. It is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the stones. I have never seen cuff links these. They are made of obsidian with an abstract wheel design. The disks have a diameter of just over 1/2". The silver "wheels" are not just applied, they are connected to the back plate which is marked with the eagle, #9 and VALENTIN with a line extending from the top of the V, over all the letters. These unusual cuff links have a good heft and are in excellent condition. I believe they are circa early 1950's.

A striking modernist sterling silver ring from Spain designed by Joachim S'Paliu. Born in Cordoba in the 1940's he became one of the leading mid century modernist jewelers of Spain.

Has a zig zag and curved band of sterling with a raised tumbled brown and black mottled stone. Not sure of the name for the stone.

Los Castillo 396 swirl clamper was designed by Margot van Voorheis Carr when married to Don Antonio Castillo. Are you bold enough for this ring, with it's huge, sparkling grey druzy stone? The crystal measures approximately 1.5" when measured from its longest point. It is pale grey, which sparkling gold inclusions (pyrite?) layering the top. Set in sterling silver. The band is adjustable, currently size 7. Marked with an unknown hallmark, "Taxco 925."

This sterling stork has a curly tail, leaves for feet and angel like wings. The body is a very large kite shaped reversed carved blue rhinestone. All of this in a sterling setting. Notice that this stork has a blue rhinestone for his beak. It is hallmarked "sterling" on the back. Excellent condition. It measures 3 1/2" x 2 2/3" .

An Art Deco Danecraft deer in the woods sterling pin from the 1930s-1940s. This great vintage sterling silver 2-1/8" x 1-3/4" brooch depicts a deer feeding in the forest.
