Circa mid-century, this is a fabulous necklace and a real attention grabber. Measuring 4 3/4" wide at the top of the centerpiece, 2 5/8" wide at the bottom, it's a huge piece which lays beautifully upon the neck and frames it perfectly. Modernist handmade sterling ring by the famous NYC silversmith, Sam Kramer(1913-1964), c.1948. It has an alternating circle design and can be worn as a wedding band or not. The ring is signed "STERLING mushroom mark" and is size 5 3/4. Great piece in excellent condition....$11 USA insured shipping plus applicable NY sales tax.

Composed of a hammered-look, lozenge-shaped panel decorated with applied silver wire and beads, this impressive pin evokes a German arts and crafts influence. The faceted stone is almost clear and tests strongly as quartz/amethyst/citrine; in certain light it looks like a smoky quartz or very light citrine. This is a Victorian shell cameo brooch deeply carved to depict a woman strolling in a wooded village and set within a silver twisted-ribbon oval frame and twisted wire border; good condition having a small hairline crack; measurement: 2 _ in. x 2 _ in. oval.

Four large heavy sterling silver links set with oval cabochon Amethyst stones create a spectacular bracelet by the famous Fred (Frederick) Davis. Each link measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" with a total length of 7". Very heavy at 116 grams. Hallmarked with the joined FD, Silver Mexico. Pin closure. Nice condition, with light wear, tarnish. This is a seldom seen bracelet and a wonderful treasure for the collector.

This beautiful pin is in the style of Margot De Taxco, enamel jewelry. It measures 2" x 3/4". The turquoise enamel is beautiful and the fish has a dark blue, enamel eye. The back is marked MEXICO 925. It is in excellent condition.

This 1960s necklace features narrow, vertical panels of graduated length with a textured surface decorated with pink and yellow gilding; the edges show a bit of darker oxidation. Competently constructed and designed to sit flat and move gracefully when worn; all panels are in place and show no signs of wear. The box clasp, which has a figure-eight safety catch, is marked Italy, with possible maker’s initials of FGS; they overlay the mark for .925 (sterling) silver...

A pair of Mexican sterling silver cutout cufflinks from the 1960s. These vintage cuff links measure 7/8" x 5/8" and they have a cutout or shadowbox design with black interior patina. They have fixed swing-backs, one is stamped HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. STERLING 925 with an R.B.Z maker's mark and they weigh 8.0 grams. They are in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This band ring is 3/8" wide. It is a size 9. It has a nice oxidized background and patina. It is marked MEXICO MA and has the eagle / assay mark that is hard to make out. This piece is in excellent condition.

A rare, stunning vintage sterling necklace and earrings by Modernist Joachim S'Paliu of Cordorba, Spain. Born in 1944, he produced a significant line of jewelry during the 1960's and 70's. This big, bold, neck ring and attached pendant opens and closes with a tight hook clasp on one side of the neck ring. The neck ring measures 15" around total and the pendant measures 3 1/4" long including the bale. Total weigh of the necklace is 70 grams. The earrings are clip backs with posts for pierced ears...

Admittedly my favorite Mexican modernist, Salvador Teran seems to have never had a "bad" moment during his career. There is not one piece of his that I have come upon which I have not loved for its quirky abstraction, its sometimes tongue-in-cheek genius, its magical way of playing with layers, abstraction and oxidation. The mod pendant presented here provides a good illustration, I believe, of the point I am trying to make...
