The scrolling foliage climbs 3.25 in. tall on this hand made beauty. It is also large enough to fit up the arm in comfort. It measures 2.25 at the small end and 2.75in. diameter at the larger end. This silver is thick weighing 197 grams. The barrels and hinges are also thick and strong enough to handle the mammoth size of the piece over all this time. This is an unmarked Mexico City very old piece. I believe it to be from the late 20's...

It is always exciting when I stumble upon a Mexican chain necklace made of polished, tumbled hard-stones caged in sterling silver. When that example happens to be from the pre-1948 period, I am elated! Made up of various agates and black onyx, maybe even a jasper here and there, the necklace at hand is perfect for the winter, its colors warm and cozy yet somewhat subdued , mirroring the dormant nature all around...

Bold pendant earrings with a deeply oxidized design of stylized animal faces. The panels are impressed with the design, and there is a bit of wear to the oxidation, but the effect is still striking. The panels also have a graceful curve, which also enhances the design. There is no maker’s mark; one screw back shows a mark of 980 Taxco, the other, sterling/Taxco/Mexico. The entire length of the earring, including the rounded top, is a little over 2 inches. Weight: 13.5 grams

This openwork, rectangular ring of organic form is set with a highly polished chrysoprase bead. It is unmarked, but is clearly the work of a studio jeweler. It tests as silver, and has a rough, unfinished feel but is well constructed. The setting measures about 1 inch by 5/8 inch; the ring is sized at about a 6 1/4. Gross weightL 12 grams

An early Los Castillo design and very much in keeping with the 1940s' love for sweeping flourishes this set of earrings, carefully hand-cut, overlaid and oxidized will add just the right amount of festive spirit to your outfit. Bold and confident, the swirls seem to twist upon themselves in excitement and then reach high up for the skies with abandonment. A wonderful vintage large copper and brass pendant depicting an acrobat by Ex-pat Ken Beldin, who lived in Tenencingo, Mexico and made jewelry and sculptures from 1940 through the 1960s. Suspended from leather cords.

Monumental sterling cuff bracelet with a beautiful design of twisted silver loops and arched terminals by Mexican designer Carmen Beckmann. She is one of the few well known women Mexican silversmiths of her time, active primarily in the 60's and 70's and having a shop in San Miguel de Allende. Measuring 6" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/8" opening, this bracelet is 2 1/2' wide at all points and weighs a very solid 218 grams. Signed as shown and in fine original condition...

Being offered is a circa 1960 sterling silver necklace by master silversmith Jose Anton of Taxco, Mexico. Anton was one of the earlier prominent silversmiths during the Spratling era. Great architecturally designed silver and amethyst handmade pin by Kasityo, Finland, 1965. There are 2 different silver finishes - flat and grainy - that work together well. The piece is signed "KASITYO JOSE (CROWN IN HEART)FINLAND 813H(silver content) M7(1965) ANCHOR symbol made in Lahti(city) and is in excellent condition. The handmade lock is decorative and lovely. A very well crafted pair of sterling silver earrings and matching pendant, each with a prong set rose quartz stone. We especially like how the prongs are formed from folding pieces of the main parts. Pendant measures 2 1/2" long and 1 3/4" across. Would look nice on a chain or neck ring. Screw back earrings measure 1 3/8" high and 1 1/8" across. Screw backs are marked T2 and Sterling. They hold securely. Very nice condition, warm patina. Great modernist design.
