Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art. I think romance is the tale of this storyteller necklace by Far Fan who is known for quality workmanship. The wearable length is approximately 17.5in. The Nordic-style pendant is suspended from a cable chain with two large rings and no clasp. The back of the pendant bears the maker’s mark of Kalevala Koru, of Helsinki, Finland. It also shows the mark for the year 1971. This very flexible Diamonbar bracelet was pat. March 20,1917. It was made by the Wachenheimer Brothers, Inc., manufacturers of costume jewelry. They began their business in 1907 and ceased operation in 1931. They were located in Providence, Rhode Island. This bracelet is 7" long and 1/4" wide. It needs to be cleaned.

Wonderful circa 1970s silver plate with gold gilt necklace by Danish designer Jacob Hull. Heavyweight and solid, with three shiny, articulated discs hanging from a solid necklace. The discs are smooth while the "holders" and bottom portion of the neck-ring have a textured surface. The opening of necklace measures 4.5" x 4 3/4". The hanging portion measures 3.5" long. A rather rare design - I have never encountered it before - by Enrique Ledesma, this pair of earrings brings to mind classical representations of the Aztec Sun Disk yet, in fact, the figure centering them is Tlaltecuhtli, one of the Mexica Earth deities, often referred to as the Earth Monster...

This pretty pin features an oval purple cabochon, possibly amethyst, possibly glass (it’s hard to get a reading on this stone), centered between two hammered silver leaves (very A&C in style), all in a very Art Nouveau framework. Marked “DEPOS” (probably meant to be “DEPOSE”, which translates roughly as “patented”), it is probably from Germany. There are two illegible marks, one on the C-clasp, and one on the back. This sterling silver buckle features translucent (plique a jour) enamel in a floral motif. These sash buckles with plique are quite unusual. The enamel is red, green, and two shades of blue. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. There are marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It is in very good condition.
