Mexico City Folkloric style was made popular by Matilde Poulat but there were other noted Maestros also producing stunning jewels of this style. P.OCHOA is one of those artists that I look for. The silver is thick repousse with unique skilled carving to the tops. This bracelet listed shows off a green oval stone in the center of a 1 5/8ths inches high center medallion. A modernist sterling silver brooch with a baroque pearl by Sigi Pineda. Design number 81. Measures 3" long and 1 1/4" across. Marked on the back Sigi Tasco, Hecho en Mexico, Sterling, 81, and Eagle #3. Safety rollover clasp holds securely. In very nice condition. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches. Silver gilt filigree and enamel brooch by Topazio, depicting a lovely Portuguese lady with a basket of grapes. Delicate, leafy openwork distinguishes the sterling silver frame of this 1950s pin. It is set with a chrysoprase disk that has a transluscent ‘cobblestone’ pattern when held to the light. The back is marked sterling, and has a secure rollover safety clasp. The stone is in lovely condition; the pin looks to have been hardly worn. Total diameter is 1 3/8 inches.

Ledesma is a noted Maestro in Penny Morrill's books. This is a rarely seen all silver Art Nouveau swirl weighing 61 grams heavy. It is properly hallmarked as shown and in 2 places. The repousse is without dents and is flowing in design. At it's widest it is 7/8th's of an inch and is 16.5in. long. The piece is jaw dropping on and you can turn the swirl inside or outside to wear. One pix shows it with the outside swirl. This one deserves our attention, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This Mexican Silver necklace is hallmarked with an ms conjoined, Taxco, Sterling and an eagle 3 as shown. It is very outside of what I would normally acquire. Lighter than my average acquisitions, it is solid with no repousse and is 30 grams in weight. Very comfortable as it feels lighter than air. The minute I saw it worn I was convinced that it was very special. Dramatic at 7 inches long and 4 inches across the presence is commanding. This piece has a diameter of 1 7/8". The front has a great Aztec design. The back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO, STERLING 925, with assay 28 (stamping is blurry). The front is in excellent condition. The back shows some surface scratches.

Circa 1940's, here is a huge conical amethyst ring from Hubert Harmon. An absolutely spectacular ring, one which instantly commands attention. It's a published book-piece, shown on page 190 of "Silver Masters of Mexico". The amethyst rises to almost 7/8" above the finger, and is surrounded by silver beading. The ring is adjustable, currently at a size 8. Weight is 23.2 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Hubert Harmon Sterling Mexico". Collector quality.

This large, sterling silver, pendant is most unusual, c. 1960’s. It measures 2 5/8" x 1 7/8". It is a stylized scale, made of heavy gauge silver. Going along with the abstract motif, the large amber “drop” is more like an amorphous bulb of oranges, yellows, and reds, changing with the lighting. The "relics" housed by the amber are also visible. It is marked 925. It weighs just over 1 ounce / approximately 29 grams and is in excellent condition.

This stunning bracelet has a great geometric design. It is 7" long with each link measuring 3/4" x 1/2". It has a V-spring and Box Clasp, as well as a safety chain. This is a signed JVC for Emma 3 piece PARURE with eagle. This bracelet is published in the book Mexican Silver by Morril and Berk. The silver base of the design is a whopping 3mm thick. This vintage sterling cuff bracelet is unsigned but believed to be Pueblo, or possibly Hopi or Navajo. So, not sure of its origin but I think the design is notable. Measuring 5 7/8” around in the inside, plus an additional 1 1/4" opening, it is 1 3/8" wide and weighs 56 grams. Fine original condition, a lovely patina and a great looking, very wearable bracelet.
