A pair of abstract sterling silver brooches by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. May purchase individually or as a pair.

The larger one measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. Weighs 9 gr. Thick sterling. The other brooch measures 1 7/8" across and 1 1/2" high. Weighs 5 gr. This one has a more delicate feel.

This is the matching bracelet to the Enrique Ledesma sterling and azur-malachite necklace and earrings set that I am offering. Although I have priced and listed the earrings with the necklace, the earrings could be priced separately to go with the bracelet if so desired. A pair of vintage sterling silver gilt cuff links with blue, yellow, and teal enamel by David Andersen, as part of the Four Seasons series. We believe this is 'Spring', designed by Thorbjorn Lie-Jorgensen in 1959 .

Marked on the toggles, D-A on Scales, 925S, Norway and Sterling.

They measures 7/8" long and 1/2" wide.

In fine condition, the enamel is bright and vivid. The gilt has a little tarnish.

A vintage bracelet with a central Pre Columbian bird probably from either Ecuador or Peru in 950 silver. The bird has a green stone cabochon eye. There is a layer of red and gold woven material behind the bird. Bracelet has four hinged thick silver chains meeting in the back.

A modernist sterling silver necklace by noted artisan, Johannan Peter from the Israeli artist colony, Ein-Hod.

Two layers of sterling, the bottom has a lightly hammered texture. The top wires serve as embellishment and also as the link connectors.

Marked Made in Israel, ST, 925, 'PH'. Has a hook clasp which holds securely. Dark, warm patina. There is a minor repair to one of the connectors on the back that can't be seen from the front. Measures 16" long and 1 1/8" at the widest...

The larger sides are designed as abstract forms with a pocked layer on a thin, flat surface. The opposite sides are undecorated rectangular panels. This fine pendant has a diameter of 1 1/2". It features The Water Bearer sign with other decorative aspects. The front is marked AQUARIUS. The back is marked BEAU STERLING. It is in excellent condition. Aquarius is the 11th sign of the zodiac (January 20th-February 18th).

Unknown initials mark. Floral bow reminds one of Matilde Poulat 'unmatched' old blue, green turquoise, stamped 22 assay shared by Fred Davis, Bernice Goodspeed, Antonio Pineda et. al., it is no doubt in good Taxco Silversmiths' company!
9 florals have multi blue & green color 4 mm turquoise centers.
3 1/8" X 1 7/8" and in untouched unpolished condition, yet will lightly hand cloth polish FREE when requested. More marks.

In the manner of Liberty, here is a wonderful turquoise with matrix pendant framed in a sterling and gold floral setting. The Arts and Crafts pendant measures 2" x 1-7/8"; the 18" period paper link chain is marked sterling. The pendant is unmarked.

Some of the most lovely, early, Mexico Silver designs are exquisite and masterfully accomplished. This marked Mexico Silver is one of these examples. The silver is thick with the set weighing 141 grams. The amethyst are set nicely in their bezels with no chips. No dents to the repousse. A rarely seen design this elegant bracelet by the famous Antonio Pineda has a unique design with links in a curved, open work design. It measure 6 7/8" long by 7/8" wide and weighs 49.8 grams. Circa mid-century, this is a fabulous necklace and a real attention grabber. Spratling was known to have a large collection of Pre-Columbian Mayan & Olmec objects. He designed this necklace using hand wrought sterling silver beads, coral beads & hand carved obsidian Olmec figures most likely acquired from locals in the surrounding areas of Taxco, Mexico. This mid-century Abraham Paz bracelet is a work of art. Paz was a master silversmith who, like Valentin Vidaurreta, produced work for Fred Davis. Much of this work was hallmarked with the FD mark for Davis. This Extraordinary 1950's sterling silver & amethyst necklace was designed & signed by renowned Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). The necklace measures 16 wearable inches long with a center drop of 2 inches. Each of the ancient amethyst stones are bezel set in a thick silver looped frame. The large tear drops range from pale to deep purple. In gorgeous vintage condition. Fully hallmarked on the tight & secure clasp.

The "Silver By Toño" hallmark was used from 1948-1953. For the discerning collector of Mexican silver - this bracelet is nothing short of spectacular.

This bracelet alternates five huge amethyst cabochons between repoussé silver shields tipped with silver balls. Closure is a pin on a chain. This design, in a necklace, is shown on p. 96 of Silver Seduction. The amethysts measure 15/16" in diameter.

Closed wearable length is just over 6 1/2". Width is 1 7/16".

Composed of a curving piece of forged wire, these earrings evoke a feeling of graceful movement. Each wire design is attached to a constrasting static teardrop-shaped top. They have secure posts and a nice patina from age. They are unmarked, but test definitively for sterling. Each earring measures just under 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 5.7 grams total
