A great collection of three vintage Navajo handmade round sterling boxes with elaborate stamping. All of the lids pull off. The box with the star top measures 2 1/4" diameter, 1 1/8" high and weighs 56 grams. The box with the turquoise stone is 2 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high and weighs 49 grams. The box with the round silver dome is 2 1/4" diameter, 1/2" high and weighs 45 grams. They are unsigned. All are in fine original condition and free of dents or dings...

A signed sterling green turquoise cross by Evelyn Anderson who worked for the Atkinson Trading Company. The necklace is not original to the piece and has some darkening in areas that is difficult to polish. The cross is marked E.A. Sterling and measures 3" x 4"; the 24" necklace is unmarked. A similar piece can be found in "Skystone and Silver ~ The Collector's Book of Southwest Indian Jewelry".

Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible.
