This chain is nicely hand-constructed with applied cast curled pieces that are reminiscent of the applied and hand-worked French chains of the turn of the 20th century. This one appears to be a bit later; the beading looks to have been cast with the rest of the elements and connected with hand-formed S-shaped links. It has a hand-formed hook closure, and a substantial feel. There is a partial mark for .800 silver on the hook...

A wonderfully crafted sterling silver necklace and bracelet by noted Arts and Crafts metalsmith, Clemens Friedell. Made of oval links with raised roses.

The bracelet is composed of three links. It is marked Clemens Friedell Pasadena Sterling on the back side of the hook clasp. It measures 7" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Better for a smaller wrist. The hook clasp holds securely. There is a hammer rub or scrape on the outside of the hook.

Originally from 1780 but were created unto the early 20th c. This pendant has tribal silver bail for a good-sized silver chain the bottom has cast silver bells most match. Decorated with applied grapes, vines and gold leaves, set with an amethyst, this arts and crafts cross pendant is probably English and reminiscent of the work of Henry George Murphy, though it is unsigned. The gold is of a low (probably 10) karat. The cross is suspended from a later sterling chain. It measures 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide; length including chain is about 14 1/2 inches.
