I love vintage Portuguese silver bracelets, the repousse hinged bangles more specifically, for which makers like Topazio and Safir are well known. They come in all sizes and designs, they are ideal for bracelet stacks but can be just as easily enjoyed worn alone. The example at hand is floral, with sculptural roses and dahlias in full bloom and in bud running its perimeter, rendered more dramatic by the patina time has bestowed upon them...

This dramatic choker necklace of sterling silver and applied copper has a Southwest feel, combining both Mexican and Native American design elements. The individual angular panels feature applied wires formed as spirals with silver beads at the end; the dangling curved panels bear applied fan-like copper designs. The necklace is completely handmade, down to the bands connecting each panel and the rings that suspend each pendant...

Rare, large sterling swordfish by the famous modernist Mexican silversmith, Salvador Teran, c. 1952. It is signed "SALVADOR STERLING MEXICO #106" and is in excellent condition. Circa 1960's - 70's, this Carmen Beckmann cuff pulls out all the stops. It's an exceptional bracelet which I have not seen before, and believe to be very rare. Seven Mexican fire opals of varying sizes are at front and center. The stones are magnificent, and have flashes of green, orange, blue, and purple. Framed on each side with a raised abstract silver shapes with oxidized recesses. Measures 6" inside edge to edge, with an additional gap/opening of 1 3/16"...

One of Taxco’s two “Miguels”, Miguel Melendez started his career with William Spratling at Las Delicias, moved on to work with the Los Castillo and later Margot de Taxco and in the early 1950s opened his own workshop. A talented modernist with deep roots in Mexico’s rich archaeological history, he loved combining silver with hard- and semi-precious stones and excelled in two-sided pendants that married stone or shell inlay with abstract overlay on highly oxidized surfaces...

A 950 silver Komai damascene panels bracelet circa 1900 1920. This scarce bracelet from Japan features eleven 1-1/16" x 3/8" loop-linked panels with inlaid silver and gold on a black matte (actually iron) ground. The panels resemble those in room dividing screens, and each has a different design and a simple engraved design on the back of the silver sections. It also has a long safety chain and a box clasp which is stamped 950 SILVER. This bracelet measures 7-1/8" x 1/1/8"...

Fabulous and early 19th century ring in silver with a center rectangular genuine pale aqua green beryl, genuine pearls, and surrounding tiny dark green stones which are probably glass. With two tiny illegible hallmarks. It tests positive for at least 800 or 900 silver. Ring size 5 1/2. The top of the ring is 5/8 inch by 5/8 inch. Excellent condition. Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen...

Unusual 970 silver money clip in the shape of an arrowhead with cave art hunters design by Antonio Pineda, Mexico, c.1950's. Of good size and weight, it measures 2 1/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. Marked "ANTONIO TAXCO(in crown)970 MOTA TASCO bellmark 3". Money clip was made by Antonio and sold in another shop, a frequent practice by Antonio. This distinctive ring features an organic design with an asymmetrical domed form. It is textured with wavy narrow ridges similar to seaweed. The inner band bears the mark of Spanish jewelry designer Joachim S’Paliu as well as the mark for sterling silver and dates 1960s-1970s. There is a curious crack on one side of the ring that extends up inside the top (see pictures 4 and 5). It doesn't appear to be damage or affect the stability of the ring...

A sterling silver modernist pendant necklace with a brutalist design by Danish silversmith, Niels Erik (NE) From. Pendant is textured and oxidized and has a layer of gold in the center.

Marked From 925S on the back and also on the clasp.

The central pendant measures about 1 3/8" long and 1" high.

The necklace measures 16 1/4" long in total.

Clasp holds securely. The piece is in fine condition.
