This is a very early work from Sigi Pineda, and dates to the early 1950's when he first opened his own shop. The shop was named "Plateros", later renamed "Sigi".

It's an amazing piece, with three huge red coral branches in a modernist setting which is sterling silver with 14k gold plated over it. The gold is perfect and even throughout, both front and back. The coral measures from 2 1/4" to 2 1/16"...

A great vintage sterling pin by Frank Patania Sr. designed for the Southeast Arizona Sports Car Club. It was originally a car hood or grill ornament that a previous owner had made into a pin. Nice and long at 27 1/2", this mid-century Antonio Pineda pendant necklace features a starburst design pendant with turquoise colored stones. The pendant itself measures 2 1/2" tall, just under 2" wide. Both pendant and chain are marked with with Antonio Taxco crown, and the chain can be worn on its own or with another pendant. Signed G. Laffi Peru and 925. Depicts the Inca God Virococha wearing his sun crown and holding his thunderbolts.

Pendant measures 3 1/2" long and 1 7/8" across including the bale. The original hand wrought chain measures about 24" around.

Has a very secure locking mechanism. Weighs 113 grams. Very nice condition, some very minor tarnish and surface scratches...
