A Mid Century Modernist pair of screw back earrings in two layers of sterling silver by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. These earrings measure 3/4" across one end and 5/8"across on the other end. Measure 7/8" high. Screw backs hold securely. Signed Peggy Miller Sterling on the back of each earring. Nice contrast between the darkened background and the top layer of sterling. Great mid century design.

This openwork, rectangular ring of organic form is set with a highly polished chrysoprase bead. It is unmarked, but is clearly the work of a studio jeweler. It tests as silver, and has a rough, unfinished feel but is well constructed. The setting measures about 1 inch by 5/8 inch; the ring is sized at about a 6 1/4. Gross weightL 12 grams
Heavily carved with an Aztec motif this vintage sterling cuff was designed & signed c. 1940's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. The bracelet is 1 1/2" high & weighs 107 grams. It has a 1 inch gap opening and will fit up to a 6 1/2 inch wrist. Beautiful condition. Fully hallmarked on reverse. This design is pictured on p. 39 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk.
A pair of Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with Bronze central domes by William Spratling. These earrings were in the 1945 catalog.
Measure 1 1/4" across. Marked on the back of each screw back with the conjoined WS and Spratling Made in Mexico.
Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, dings and minor scratches.

An elegant Edwardian period baisse-taille white enamel and sterling silver brooch with fine engine turning and gold inlay, circa 1910. This antique 2" across pin was made by Blackinton of North Attleboro, Massachusetts (1862-1967), It was constructed from French baisse-taille enamel on sterling mounted with a pin assembly with a safety catch. Some of the most lovely, early, Mexico Silver designs are exquisite and masterfully accomplished. This marked Mexico Silver is one of these examples. The silver is thick with the set weighing 141 grams. The amethyst are set nicely in their bezels with no chips. No dents to the repousse. This Extraordinary 1950's sterling silver & amethyst necklace was designed & signed by renowned Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). The necklace measures 16 wearable inches long with a center drop of 2 inches. Each of the ancient amethyst stones are bezel set in a thick silver looped frame. The large tear drops range from pale to deep purple. In gorgeous vintage condition. Fully hallmarked on the tight & secure clasp.
