Wonderfully designed cuff bracelet by Henry Steig, a well known Modernist jewelry designer working in New York City in the 1950s. In 1950 he opened a New York City shop at 51st and First, and a summer store in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In 1955 he moved his NYC shop to 52nd and Lexington. The design of this ridgid bracelet is ingenious, as the opening fits over the bulb of your wrist for comfort. Signed "Henry Steig, sterling". Excellent condition.
It's very rare to see the work of Valentin Vidaurreta, and this piece is a beautiful example of his work. It's a book-piece design, with photos of both the front and back shown in Silver Masters of Mexico, p. 90.

Constructionist brooch by important jewelry maker Sam Kramer, who produced avant-guarde jewelry in his New York based shop in the 1950s. This interesting piece consists of two arked triangular shaped pieces, which move freely on a tall silver bar. This allows the pieces to move up, down, and side to side, but not to move out of the crossed configuration. Corretly signed with Kramer's distinctive mushroom hallmark as shown. Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. Wonderful pin measures 3 3/8" long by 2 1/8" wide and is signed "RD 960". Uniquely designed hand made sterling and amethyst cuff, c.1970's. Large and bold, the design has a hand hammered concave disc set with a cabochon amethyst atop a cuff. The disc measures 2 1/8" in diameter and the amethyst is 9/16" in diameter. The cuff is a large scale 2 1/4" wide and the inside circumference measures 7 1/2". It will fit a medium and large wrist. Of good weight, it is in excellent condition...
Unusual and elegant vintage thin sterling cuff with bone shaped segments by the Mexican silver workshop Los Ballesteros. This bracelet measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. It is about 1/8" wide and weighs 26 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Looks great alone or can easily blend and be stacked with other Mexican, Native American, Scandinavian or Modernist pieces.

This William Spratling necklace is from his second design period, with hallmarks dating 1949-1951. Shown in "William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance", and Spratling Silver: A Field Guide", it's a spectacular piece, with inlaid triangular azur-malachite throughout. Collector quality. Measures a closed, wearable length of 18 1/2". Centerpiece measures 3 1/4" x 1 1/2". Weight is 138.1 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Spratling de Mexico Sterling", along with the eagle assay 13.
A vintage sterling silver brooch with a high domed shaped light brown stone, (probably smoky topaz), cabochon by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland. This modernist brooch measures 2 1/4" across and 1" high. Reminiscent of Native American designs. Marked with Kauppi's anvil mark, Sterling and Finland. Has an earlier style trombone clasp which holds securely. Fine condition. Wonderful example of Scandinavian modernist jewelry.
These Antonio Pineda earrings are a rare find. Collector quality, these are absolutely exquisite with a stunning modernist design. They have great movement and hang nice and long at 3". Though it is not uncommon to find Mexican silver fur pins, it is usually single pieces that are available. Here, however, there is a pair bearing the signature of the Los Castillo in a “bow and flower” design. I am not sure if the workshop ever made a whole parure available in this specific design - I have had the small bow necklace / bracelet sets in the past but this is an enhanced version, with more elements added to the bow and the bow itself bigger and fancier...
