Modernist handmade necklace signed "SAM W. GRAVES STERLING", c.1950's. It combines an art deco and Native American feel in an interesting geometric chevron design. Not certain, but I believe that Sam Graves was a contemporary of Frank Patania and H. Fred Skaggs, working in the southwest. This hollow silver necklace shows a high degree of craftsmanship. There are 3 sections connected by a paper clip chain. The middle section measures 2 1/4" by 1". Each side section measures 1 7/8" by 3/4"...

A museum quality oval pendant signed Benevidez (Johnny) and Tim Yazzie Sterling. Possibly a piece by both men who are Santo Domingo/Navajo artists. The Tim Yazzie mark is not typical however if one searches the web, one can find similar pieces created by both men. Silver overlay designs highlight the intricately cut lapis,onyx and turquoise stones. A solid pendant, it measures 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" and weighs a hefty 49gr. The sterling collar has a hook clasp and is marked TS 91 Taxco 925.

A vintage sterling silver necklace with a claw-set sterling shell cameo pendant c1930s. The chain is 19-3/8" long, and the cameo pendant measures just over 1-1/2" x 3/4" (including bale). The sterling silver chain with a spring-ring catch, which is stamped 925. The cameo setting looks hand made, but is not stamped (but it tests as high grade silver). The cameo pendant has an older rhodium finish, so the chain may have been changed at some point...

A bold bow pin enhanced with white chalcedony at the knot and in teardrops at the ribbon ends, with an unidentified maker’s mark of S within a C. The stones are securely mounted, exhibiting some wear -- tiny scratches and minor loss to the polished surface -- but no cracks or chips. The pin surface has a warm patina from age, with minor surface scratches. The clasp is very secure; the pin stem is slightly bent but in good working order...

Los Castillo clamper design 508 is constructed of heavy repousse and weighs 79 grams. The diameter is 2.5 and will fit most. The size is a manageable 2.75 in. tall and the spring is tight. This design is an obvious Margot work of art when married to Antonio Castillo. Very well cared for with no dents or damage.

A sterling silver horse race horseshoe brooch circa 1900 1910. This antique nicely detailed silver equestrian motif pin in the shape of a horse shoe enclosing two neck-and-neck three dimensional horse heads in a race. It measures 1-1/8" x 1" and is stamped STERLING. It weighs 8.5 grams and has a safety catch. Great gift idea for a fan of horses or horse racing. A lovely sterling cuff with stamping by Navajo silversmith Johnny Mike Begay. The brother of Kenneth Begay, he worked alongside him at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as privately and won numerous awards for his jewelry which can be found in many private and museum collections. This sizable, hand-constructed leaf pin is nicely decorated with applied berries and graceful stems. The secure rollover clasp is original to the piece, which dates around 1950-1960. The pin is unmarked, but it tests definitively for sterling silver, and has Scandinavian influences in its design. It measures 3 3/8 inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide. Weight: 17.7 grams

Distinctly Egyptian Revival in its inspiration, the set of Mexican Deco dangle earrings at hand reminds me very much of elements in Margot de Taxco's "Cleopatra" parure; more specifically, the feathers of the "vulture crown" the pharaoh is wearing. More stylized in our case they are here involved in an elaborate knot forming sculptural dangles that hang off the sweetest repousse rosettes. I admit that I have never encountered this specific design before and would also like to draw your attention...

Designed by Harald Nielson, a heavy sterling cuff that weighs 56 grams. The inner diameter measures 2.48 inches, and at its widest point measures 1-1/2". It is marked on both ends. On one side is Jensen round logo 55 and on the other end 925S Denmark. Light wear.
