Very lovely art deco sterling and marcasites necklace with molded blue glass stones, c.1920's. There are three bright blue floral design stones set in sterling with alternating sterling and marcasite links. The 16" necklace has marcasite links all around, but is not sterling. Five large cabochons with pink banding are set in sterling silver frames that are deeply oxidized and embossed with a ridged design. They are linked by oblong rings that are similarly decorated. The highly polished stones are securely prong set and show no scratches or other signs of wear; they may be rhodochrosites, which were popular in the 1950s. The fold-over clasp is very secure and in good working order. The bracelet is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling...

This sterling and parcel gilt link bracelet is composed of cast turbaned heads; the headdresses are gilded. There is a secure hook closure, with no signs of metal stress. These quirky figural sterling silver pins and earrings are formed as separate head. While the faces are similar in their prominent features, one head wears a tall, pointed headdress, while the other wears a turban-like headpiece. The pins show marks on the surface from being hammered into the mold; they are finished with applied backs. Each earring is formed to match the face of one of the pins...

Composed of three outwardly curved hinged panels embossed with scenes of Mexican country life. It is secured by a tongue-and-groove clasp and a security chain. The back of the clasp bears the circular mark of CJB; the maker’s name of Diaz Santoyo is impressed on the tongue in block letters (there is no image of this part of the mark). It is also marked 925 for sterling silver. The bracelet measures 1 3/8 inches wide and has an internal circumference of 7 ¼ inches. Weight: 44 grams

Large, hand made sterling, azurite, turquoises modernist necklace, c.1960's. Center triangular pendant measures 3" and has 4 hanging moveable extensions each measuring 2 3/4" below the pendant. The center AZURITE is a gorgeous stone of turquoise-colored blues(not the grey as photographed)and rust swirls around. Of good weight, it has a 21" hand made chain. Signed by Graziella Laffi, the often referred-to as "Spratling of Peru" this bird brooch can also be found with blue enamel adorning its eye. Executed in all-silver in our case, with hand-etched and stippled details, I like to think of it as a pelican or even a seagull, maybe because she has used the same motif in necklace and bracelet form as well but combined with fish-shaped stations...

Caricaturesque in the most endearing, spirit-lifting way this vintage Mexican silver fish brooch will put a smile on your face no matter rain or shine! Executed in confident repoussage which adds sculpturality and drama to a highly detailed body, it has a cheerful amethyst eye and thick, exaggerated lips. It looks to me as if it's singing down there in the deep - I can almost see tiny air bubbles coming out of its mouth. Measuring 2 3/4" long by 7/8" wide the brooch weighs 12.6 grams...

This handsome, handmade Italian sterling silver bracelet by Peruzzi is composed of linked openwork oval and round frames holding applied flowers and leaves. The flowers look to have been hand constructed, petal-by-petal. The hook clasp and safety chain are very secure; the inside of the bracelet bears the Peruzzi and sterling marks. The surface is highly tarnished, despite an attempt at cleaning; it can be brightened up a bit more...

Designed in the pre-Columbian style, this sterling silver bracelet is composed of curved openwork panels connected with small pins. It bears the mark of J.N. Jacopo, for the Jacopo brothers of Mexico City and Taxco; it also bears the eagle mark with the number 3. The bracelet has a nice, hefty feel and is of good quality. There is a minor area of metal stress at one link (see Photo #4)...

Large scale sterling ring by JO CATANZARO. Round design with oxydized background and measures almost 1" in diameter and 1/2" high and has twisted silver band.
