Excellent vintage condition

A vintage sterling silver large pendant on a silver neck ring. Has a central prong set rough brown and green swirled slab. Not sure what the stone is. Signed on the back with a stylized MLewis, Sterling and a mushroom hallmark. We have not been able to identify the artist.

The pendant measures 3 1/4" long including the bale and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has some minor surface scratches and a warm patina.

Currently suspended from an unsigned sterling neck ring with a hook clasp...

An outstanding sterling silver modernist heavy cuff bracelet adorned with a large oval shaped Mother of Pearl cabochon.

Measures 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/2". This cuff is rigid and has very little give. Measures 2 1/4" wide.

Signed 925 on the inside.

Fine condition. Has some tarnish, we did not polish it. There are 2 tiny nicks to the MOP that don't go all the way through.

Heavy and substantial. Weighs 64 gr.

Good for a larger wrist...

This handsome ring has a rippled, Nautilus design with a 2.0ct (Natural Pyrope), prong set garnet. It is a size 8. The ring is marked STERLING and KABANA (with a hallmark Kabana's hallmark). It is in excellent condition. Since 1975, Kabana has been a USA manufacturer of fine jewelry by skilled designers.

In the years I have been buying and selling vintage Mexican silver jewelry I have seen many "mask" pieces - this is, after all, one of the "pillars" in the genre's design index and I am also very partial to it and always on the look out for good examples. I have to also admit that seeing jewelry of a certain kind over and over again makes one a little more blasé and hence, more difficult to impress. Yet impressed I was with this astounding combination pin / pendant I am presenting here...

A lovely sterling cuff with stamping by Navajo silversmith Johnny Mike Begay. The brother of Kenneth Begay, he worked alongside him at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as privately and won numerous awards for his jewelry which can be found in many private and museum collections. Double-sided period art nouveau clover design sterling pill box by Unger Brothers, Newark, c.1895. Can be worn with ring to attach a chain at top. Lovely scalloped opening and measures 1 3/4" diameter by 15/16" deep. Signed "UB STERLING 925 FINE UB" in excellent condition with small dent(1/4" long) at top near ring. Twin fish necklace in amethyst and brass signed MAYA MEXICO after a design first introduced by Hubert Harmon (c.1940-50). This necklace will comfortably fit up to a 15 inch neck. The two fish and amethyst drop measure 5 1/2 inches across. Both fish have an amethyst eye and a faceted amethyst stone extending from their tail. A single amethyst cab hangs between the 2 fish. Each brass chain measures 5 1/2 inches.

An incredibly detailed sterling silver pin depicting a boxer dog. The workmanship is simply outstanding, with every tiny detail of the dog’s fur, wrinkles, etc. fully worked in this deeply three-dimensional brooch. The back is hallmarked “Ballou Sterling”. B. A. Ballou was founded in Providence, RI in the 1870s.

This Victorian sterling hinged ivy leaves bangle hand engraved bracelet is 1 1/4" wide. The inside is 2 1/4" x 1 7/8". This bracelet is circa 1870. There are no hallmarks that I can find on this item.

Wonderful Navajo cuff bracelet with great chiseling and stamping circa 1920-30. While this bracelet is from that time period, the design is very unusual and modern looking. It measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus a 1 1/8" opening and is 1" wide. Weighing 57 grams, it is in fine original condition. Unsigned which is typical of the period. An outstanding piece.

This vintage, finely detailed feathered serpent pin was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist Margot Van Voorhies. The brooch is 4" X 2" & weighs 28 grams. The darkened patina emphasizes the hand wrought beauty of the repousse' work. The piece is in beautiful condition. Both the pin back and safety lock are in excellent working order. This brooch by Matilde Poulat features a large amethyst front and center, with turquoise cabochons and coral branches in a butterfly design with dangles.

Measures 2" tall x 1 1/2" wide. Pin closes with a rolling "C" clasp.

Weight is 11.8 grams.

Signed and hallmarked "Matl Mexico 925", with the eagle assay 129. Dates to pre-1960.

Offered here are four Hector Aguilar bangles. Two are 990 silver with HA hallmarks from 1940-1945. One is hallmarked with the HA Sterling TB marks from 1943-1948. One is marked Taxco HA eagle assay 9. Each measures 2 1/2" in diameter. Total weight is 88.6 grams. All are collector quality. The 990 design is shown on p. 141 of Silver Masters of Mexico. You can wear two on each wrist or all four together - they look fabulous.

A Celtic sterling and enamel hammered sash pin brooch from 1946. This 2-1/8 x 2" fully hallmarked brooch features blue, orange and green enameled "stones". It has hallmarks for Chester, England 1946 and it was made by the Wayne Hart Co. (1945-) of Birmingham and Chester. It has a c-clasp and it weighs 11.2 grams. Vintage, Very Danish Scandinavian looking silver bracelet stamped: DANECRAFT REG'D STERLING with mystery mark of Lion's Head facing a "C" or is there a Canadian connection? Maybe not a mystery; a Canadian mark? This is not the typical c in a circle copyright mark.
While fold over secure clasp is engaged it measures inside 6 3/4" X just under 1 1/4" wide and weighs 21 Grams.

A modernist pendant in 830 silver designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus, Ky of Turku Finland.

This large reticulated pendant measures 3 1/8" long and 2" wide. It is hinged at the top for lots of movement. Has a large bail so could be worn on a thick chain or neck ring.

Currently suspended from a sterling snake chain that measures 20" long and has a secure spring clasp.

Pendant is marked 830S for the Finnish silver standard, and Finland...

A great vintage sterling pin by Frank Patania Sr. designed for the Southeast Arizona Sports Car Club. It was originally a car hood or grill ornament that a previous owner had made into a pin. Measures 3” long and wide and weighs 36 grams. It is signed as shown. No need to be a member of this club to love the pin!!

This is an impressive Hector Aguilar bracelet. Vintage dated to 1940-45 because of the earlier 990 mark making this one more rare than most. Weighing 51.2 grams and 1 1/8in. wide the chain is heavy and the gage of the medallion is thick silver. I was quite surprised the first time I had this design in my hands because it was a larger piece than anticipated from photographs. A lovely addition fit for anyone's collection.

A vintage sterling silver necklace or collar by American Modernist jeweler, Ronald Hayes Pearson. Made up of three connected graduated neck rings with hammered texture. They are curved so lay nicely on the collar bone. Connected on each side by a small ring.

Measures about 12" around the inside of the smallest one with an opening of 1 1/2". Can be adjusted. Can be stretched open a little to put on.

Doris Silver was a shop in Taxco during the Spratling era. She offered her space to craftsmen to produce quality and stunning jewels. This necklace is very heavy repousse with a wearable 17in. long with it's widest point being 7/8th in. The patina is naturally dark and thick. The design is floral with twisting and turning vines. Hidden within is a drop of 2.5in. across and 2 in. tall. I have never seen another like this one. No damage, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Adorable and sweet silver pin in the form of a turtle with beautifully variegated turquoise stones on its back, and red cabochon stones as eyes. Classic Arts & Crafts materials and form, circa 1900 or earlier. The pin back is gold, and may have been added or replaced more recently. A very charming little piece.

Possibly the most "surrealist" early Mexican Deco "mask" brooch I have ever had, this piece is the source of so many questions for me. What is it exactly that it depicts with its "portrait" surrounded by an elaborate headdress, the two arms emanating right from its top with no actual body present? This William Spratling Mexican Silver Bracelet is from his first design period 1931-1946 and consider one of his most iconic designs. It measures 7 1/4" long by 1" wide and weighs 70.6 grams of sterling silver. Hallmarked with the WS mono, Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. It is in good vintage condition with some light wear, tarnish, and has developed a lovely patina. Early style pin closure and attached safety chain. A great vintage bracelet for any collector.

A great looking Mexican sterling silver Metales Casados pin c1950s-60s. This anamorphic 2-1/4" X 1 3/4" pin has a black resin stylized bird on a silver, copper and brass ground; the silver backing to the black resin is stamped HECHO EN MEXICO 925 and it has a safety catch. This bracelet is the work of Horatio de la Parra, whose company Plateria Azteca produced hollowware for both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar.

It's an early piece, dating to the 1940's. Six repoussé silver panels, each with a high domed amethyst cabochon, make for a regal deco design bracelet which closes with a pin.

Closed, wearable length is 6 3/4". Width is 1 3/8".

An attractive Eastern or Indonesian sterling silver 18" necklace with 5 fringed 1-1/2" triangular drops c1920-30. This unsigned necklace tests as high grade silver (.800 grade silver or higher, mark obscured), it weighs 24.1 grams, it has 1/4" loop-linked segments and a slightly more recent silver plated spring-ring catch, the triangular drops have beaded flower-like designs and twisted-wire dangly fringe; it is at least 65 years old and may be older. This lovely charm or pendant measures 1" x 3/4". It's greenish-blue basse-taille, enamel background brings out the red Pisces fish sign beautifully. It's set in sterling vermeil. The back is marked with the David Andersen scales maker's mark, D-A, 925 S, NORWAY-STERLING. It's circa 1950's and in excellent condition.

This charm / pendant is a great James Avery collectible: The Guardian Angel. It measures 7/8" x 5/8". The back is marked with the candelabra hallmark, and JA STER, located on the bottom right. The 'T' in STER is blurred. This great piece is circa 1960's.

These fine cuff links have a diameter of 3/4". They display an abstract character: a J or a P? The backs are marked LEONORE DOSKOW HANDMADE STERLING. The toggle findings are also marked STERLING. The cuff links are in excellent condition, circa 1950s-1960s.

Rare and beautiful Intertwined Curving X Cuff in 940 silver by Hector Aguilar. This exquisite ring has great Navajo detail adorned with large opals and lapis. The workmanship is excellent. It is truly a remarkable piece. The ring is a size 7. It measures 2 " x 1 1/4" There is a maker's mark on the back that I cannot decipher. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.
