This charming study of a young girl intent on cutting out paper dolls is reminiscent of works by Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt and Pierre-Auguste Renoir (his earlier works). She is beautifully captured with her rosebud lips, her hair tied up in a bow, a lacy pinafore over her navy dress and stockinged legs ...

A charming, whimsical, beautifully painted oil on canvas painting of a brown-robed man of the church in a spring forest setting minding a pig, while a vision of loveliness, a nude young female, appears at right. The work is unsigned but most certainly would have been painted by a listed artist, I would think around the year 1910. The piece is unframed and measures 21 1/2" by 18"...

Original oil painting on canvas by Sabine Hettner (French, 1907-1986). In excellent condition. Signed and dated 53 l.r. Also signed and dated verso. 21 1/2" by 18" canvas alone. Sabine Hettner, whose mother was French, was the daughter of German painter Otto Hettner, an associate of Oskar Kokoschka and Otto Dix. Honore Daumier, French, 1808-1879. These Lithographs were printed in the French Newspaper in the 19th C. Thus there is newsprint on the back. They are signed in the plate and are about 9" by 12".

Late 20th century oil on canvas including a central figure, bird, young women embracing, and flowers, unsigned, painted in the style of the renowned and world-famous French artist Marc Chagall. The work, unframed, measures 24" by 20". The creator was obviously familiar with the paintings and graphic work of Chagall. Very decorative alternative to having a Chagall print.

Small oil on canvas laid on board painting of a street scene in Paris, the work somewhat resembling the familiar paintings of A. de Vity. It measures 15" by 11" framed and is not signed. Paintings of Paris streets are ever-popular. A ballpoint pen date on the reverse backing paper (3/24/72) gives some insight into when this painting was created. See other Parisian views in my shop.
