Early twentieth century impressionist painting of one of New Orleans' famous courtyard subjects, 9 1/4" by 7" as framed, signed at lower right corner "Don Juan". While an interesting name to be sure, I have not been able to find a listed artist corresponding to it. The work though is by an obviously trained and talented hand. The vintage frame makes all in all for a very satisfying little painting sure to please the New Orleans fan. The surface is soiled evenly, consistent with age...

A very pretty contemporary oil on canvas landscape of trees, a cluster of pink flowers in the left foreground, signed at lower right by California Art Club associate member DULCIE ADAMS. Biographical information seems to be lacking on this obviously talented artist. The work measures 18" by 24" (26 1/2" by 32" nicely framed). Painting is in excellent condition; linen liner has a small stain that could probably be removed.

Oil on canvas, 20" by 16" and simple wood frame 1 3/4" wide, signed at lower left in capital letters by the artist, ARTHUR CARL WEIGLE, and dated there "30". This is a charming scene of an earlier California, the iconic subject being the 18th century Mission Santa Barbara. Note the figure curled up on the steps, the leaning palm, and the beautifully painted eucalyptus leaves. The overall light palette reminds one of C. W. Nicholson's works or possibly Dana Bartlett...

William Corasick, b. 1907, studied at Temple University and at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, National Academy of Design, and the Butler Art Institute. This unique and exciting abstract is painted on paper and clear film. In very good original condition and professionally framed. Image measurements are app. 20" x 20".

Fine old painting of a young woman in a most distinctive red-striped dress, signed at lower right by American artist REVINGTON ARTHUR (1908-1986). This painting has composition, a great palette and blond light, and a modernist feel. It stands in contrast to much of his work, which was executed in rather dark colors.
