"Péniches sur la Seine" 18 1/8" x 21 3/4 unframed. Marcel Dyf was born in Paris on the 7th October 1899. As a youth he was influenced by the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements that he observed in Paris and Normandy, where he spent his holidays. He started a career in engineering but in his early twenties he decided to become an artist. He moved to Arles in Provence where he bought a studio and began zealously painting the inspirational. Dyf was self-taught as an artist...

Old horizontal format landscape, oil on board, featuring trees, a creek or lake, the only sign of man a picket fence near the group of trees at center, signed at lower left "Ferguson". The painting likely dates to about 1925 or 1930. Measurements are 14 1/2" by 25" (19" by 32 1/2" in frame that dates to about 1965). There is stable authentically old "alligatoring" of the paint (a crackling pattern related to how quickly the paint dried)...

Blanche Camus, French, 1881-1968. This wonderful portrait of a woman on a terrace is 18.5" by 21.2" in an impressive 6" French Impressionist Frame. The canvas has been relined and there is minimal inpainting on the canvas with no repairs. It is from circa 1920-30 and is an extremely fine example of the use of broken brush strokes to convey the spray of sunshine and shadows in the scene.

Oil or acrylic on canvasboard abstract painting, larger sized, at 28" by 40" as framed, signed at lower left "KAYE". The art takes after any number of modern painters' work, but the arrows imagery at the bottom portion, suggests to me a bit of Uruguayan painter Joaquin Torres Garcia. The creator of this work (and two others by the same artist I have listed) was probably a talented amateur with an excellent sense of color and a knowledge of modern art. Condition is good...

He followed a course of classic studies but was attracted to drawing at an early age and gave much of his time to it. He began to paint with a student of Flandria, one of the first Fauves, who studied in the atelier of Gustave Moreau. As he continued his study of painting, Vignoles was attracted to the art of Cezanne, Van Gogh and the Primitives of the 15th century...

I do not see a listing for the artist but this vintage oil is competently executed by a talented hand. The condition is excellent, since this has been protected actually behind glass, in the veneer-type frame often seen on Currier and Ives prints...

This landscape is a very vivid example of Niemann ability to convey the beauty of a spectacular sunset. The detail is excellent on the painting. His paintings go for up to $20,000. A very unusual painting that looks like a mix of Japanese Anime, the Big Eye School, and a Katy Perry video: oil on canvas, 24" by 18 1/2" on the stretchers, 28 1/2" by 22 1/4" as framed, signed at lower left by artist Christina Anthony. I do not see internet information on the artist, who was technically talented.
