At one time I thought there was some possibility that this was a work by Finnish artist Gosta Diehl. The daughter of that artist, Franciska Sundholm, wrote me to say that this is definitely not a work by her father. The work might be by an amateur or a listed artist but due to the lack of a signature the truth will never be known.
