A rare print by surrealist print maker Ozaku Seishi, professor emeritus from Tama Art University. As Haku Maki aficionados know, Maki did many prints depicting the kanji for ox or bull. This one, Z-200b, is one of his great bulls. One of a small edition of 75, it is 12.5 in wide X 19in high. The print, created in 1999, is in excellent condition. For another wonderful example of Maki's ox-making, see Item#1452034 below--a brilliant Big Red ox.

A beautifu Eighteenth Century, hand colored Etching exotic monkey 10 x 8“ Frame size 16 x 14 English

Original stone lithograph, not an offset print, 23 3/4" by 26 3/4" inside the mat (not examined out of frame), signed in the plate by the artist Jan TOOROP and dated in the plate 1915. Executed primarily in black, note the color----pale orange in the cap and shirt, blue in the trousers. Toorop is a major Dutch artist, one of whose works (painting) just exceeded $700,000 at auction. His prints and posters are much more affordable. I don't see that this one is pencil signed...

A large engraving of a mythological scene of Venus after her bath getting ready for a date with Adonis. The print was made by Etienne Baudet the French engraver who also worked in Rome. It is dated 1672. The print is after one of a series of 4 paintings by Francesco Albani that were commissioned by the Duke of Mantua in 1621. The painting that is the source of this print is now in the Louvre. Sight size 23 ¼ by 27 inches (59 by 68 cm), overall 28 ¼ by 32 ¼ inches (72 by 82 cm)...
