Clifford Addams, American, 1876-1942, "Dreamer by the Thames". This is a great London etching by American artist Clifford Addams, image size 8 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches, c. 1902, edition of 75, inscribed in the plate, "Loci dulcedo nos attinet" (the sweetness of the place holds us), pencil signed and numbered. Clifford Addams grew up outside Philadelphia and studied art in the U. S. before leaving to further his studies in Europe...

Print in grays, black and white with some subtle color, on silk, 10 3/4" by 13 1/4" inside the mat, 21 1/2" by 23" in silvery gray frame, pencil signed at lower right margin by the noted Austrian artist HANS FIGURA (1898-1978). Figura is known for his aquatints on paper and silk, featuring scenes of the Tyrolean Alps, Venice, other European locales, and even New York and elsewhere in the United States. He was prolific...

One of Maki’s favorite themes was the image shown here. Some outstanding ones are shown in the listing. I reckon Maki did about 25 different prints with the theme Child. Several little children can be seen swimming in the image in frame 9. The child in the right of this list panel is the image imprinted in the cover of Festive Wine, to which Maki contributed 21 images in 1969.

Vintage poster "Presence des Maitres", 1967, published by the Swiss gallery Galerie Beyeler to publicize their exhibition of works by the likes of Chagall, Klee, Giacometti, Cezanne, Monet, Dufy, Rouault, Mondrian, Picasso, Braque and Bonnard. The unframed piece measures 33" by 20" in simple black frame (NO GLASS). The poster shows definite evidence of age, with blotchy old brownish discolorations/staining and some light abrasions at lower right...

Original 19th century albumen photograph by Jean-Pascal Sebah (1872-1947) depicting the old Cairo and the island of Rhoda (the photograph is titled in the plate l.l "Vieux Caire et Ile de Rowdah"). Signed in the plate l.r. Jean-Pascal Sebah was the son of Pascal Sebah (1823-1886). He continued the family studio in 1888 in Constantinople. The studio specialized in scenes of Egypt and the Middle East.
