Nicely framed antique print. Light foxing but more pronounced on the edges. The frame measures 13" x 18". Not examined out of frame-sold as is. "In the French engraving Le Lever after Freudenberg, of the 1780s (illustration, right), gentle social criticism is levelled at the lady of the court; that she slept without unlacing her stays, apparently, perhaps can be seen as artistic licence...

William Joseph Schaldach, 1896-1982, American, etching, "Chores - Lyons Plain, Connecticut", image size 7 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches, titled and signed in pencil.

A large lithograph print, the sheet 28 1/2" by 22 3/4", unframed, signed at center right with his monogram "JR" and star symbol, dated there 1950. This is a work of American illustrator artist JAMES REYNOLDS (1896-1996). The imagery of flowers and leaves reminds of the work of American twentieth century artist Charles Burchfield. Reynolds is often confused in art auction records and biographies with western American contemporary artist James Reynolds.

A black and white photograph of one of the most famous of the French chateaux, the Chateau de Chenonceau on the River Cher in France's Loire Valley, the work signed at lower right margin in ink with what appears as "D. Esicaud/Tours". Tours is a city in the region. The piece measures 18" by 14" and 23 1/2" by 19 3/4" as framed. Condition is excellent. The castle dates to the early 1500's and is a major site on the tourist circuit of France.

Published in 1801 for inclusion in "Kearsley's Systematic Natural History" series published in various volumes and with various topics beginning in 1800, this plate is from Volume 3 "Amphibia", published in 1802. Lithograph on paper, 22 1/4" by 25 7/8" inside the mat (30" by 23" as framed), signed in pencil at lower right and numbered 47/180 at lower left, by important 20th century Spanish artist EMILIO GRAU-SALA (1911-1975). This is an apparently clean example (not examined out of frame) of the lithography of this major European artist, the paintings of whom command well into five figures at auctions in Europe and the USA...
