Spectacular unusual vintage couture necklace, probably 1980s, in dark silvertone metal with a variety of large multi color glass stones in different shapes, all prong set, with hook clasp and extender. With a center chain form riviere with clear stones and attached large stones in blue, olive green, teal green, red, purple, and topaz, along the sides. The largest stones are openback and unfoiled. Not sure of the origin of this piece -- possibly Italian or French. Substantial at 111 grams...

Though only known to us by his (I am assuming) initials maestro CEL is not a stranger among lovers of Matilde Poulat's exuberant jeweled designs. His creations are indeed avidly sought after as worthy alternatives to Matl's ever-ascending-in-price examples and my experience all these past years has made me look for and try to acquire his work whenever possible...

It seems that I will be closing the year with modernist pieces by Erika Hult de Corral. I have already presented two of her necklaces in the last few weeks which have already found new caretakers and this evening it is time for a ring. Though rings are not an uncommon form in the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, I have to admit that the examples available usually fall on the conservative side of design but from time to time something interesting and eye-catching shows up...

Beautiful, super versatile, great to wear alone or layer, signed YSL necklace in antiqued goldtone with thirteen large Byzantine style coin form drops of varying sizes and designs. 1980s. Beautiful very ornate necklace and matching clip earrings by the French maker Monette. I have had one piece by this maker before. Circa 1990. Very large molded Lucite beads are detailed in gold and mounted in heavy filigree caps, and connected with S shaped links. Top quality and beautifully made. Marked MONETTE OF PARIS and MADE IN FRANCE. Necklace is 44 inches long. The largest beads are 1 1/2 inches long. The earrings are 2 1/2 inches long. Excellent condition...

Fabulous unusual circa 1980 signed YSL necklace with three strands of large carved natural agate beads, two strands in a medium soft green, and one strand in a deep deep blue-green. The clasp and center drop are beautifully detailed cast goldtone metal with millegrain applied metal beads. The center drop has a leaf form element surmounting two circular elements connected by two strands of tiny carved light green agate beads...

Dramatic in size and design, this silver pendant features elaborate wire wrapping, with 5 gemstones entwined in the design. It measures just under 4" high, 2 3/8" wide, and is heavy. Tests for sterling, but we did not test the gold colored wire, so it may be gold filled, though the thin wire is more likely gold. The stones include a clear quartz crystal, a watermelon tourmaline, a striated pale green crystal, a pale blue/lavender stone, and a small clear stone. No hallmarks. Please see all...

Marked SCHERRER PARIS and MADE IN FRANCE and JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER in script on the toggle clasp. Gorgeous vintage 1980s torsade necklace with multi strands of glass based faux pearls, and a fabulous toggle clasp in heavy sterling silver with pave gold marcasites. Not marked but the metal tests positive for sterling silver with jewelers acid. Very substantial at 137 grams. Wearable length is 17 inches...

A giant, bright, cast gold cuff of overlapping leaves with multi color, multi shape, multi size stones scattered throughout. 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) wide, with a 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) interior diameter and a 1 1/4" (3 cm) opening. (It could probably be widened by a jeweler, though I don't suggest you do it yourself.) Signed Dominique Aurientis Paris in a disc on the back. In pristine condition.
