The painting was attributed to Momokawa Meiho. Ink on paper. No framing. The painting depicts a peaceful scenery of a valley and mountains.. No signature. Good condition, except for some small cracks of the crisp paper.

India 17-18thc Mughal life size stucco palace guard statue once one of a pair that was said to be placed by the door of the rulers private temple . This piece was brought from the Gujarat area of India . This is a rare and irreplaceable sculpture . Size H 59" W 17" D 14" weight, a guess 150 lb losses and some restoration as to be expected . This sculpture is done in the full round but due to the weight we couldn't safely photograph the back.

Beautifully carved butter churner guide ("Ghurra' or "neti"), decorated with a relief rope and chevron design. Wood, with fine dark-brown patina. Himalayan Region. Length: 11 1/4" (23,5 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Obvious signs of use and age, otherwise very good condition. NOTE: the "ghurra" was collected in situ in the early 1970s, during my 20 years stay in Asia.

Arts & crafts period copper dish by Gorham, c.1852-1865. It is signed: "GORHAM CO. Y126 (anchor in lozenge) and additional mark" and measures 9 1/2" by7 1/4" 1" high. It has a bronze color patina with some dark spots. There is a slight bend that can easily be straightened out on an edge. Antique rectangular-shaped snuff box made of high-quality German pressed birch bark from 19th century Germany. The flip lid features brass hinges embossed in relief with a scene depicting a drunken man sitting on a well pump spout among the trees while two women keep him company. Large, iron figural standing mirror, c.1870. Very decorative - cherubs, women fairies, flowers, hearts, & torch and arrows make up this intricately designed mirror - see photos. It measures 15" wide by 16" long and is extremely heavy. Metalwork is in excellent condition but mirror can use some re-silvering, if desired. Would sit on a dresser but has a back loop for hanging.
