Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead of dark blue glass with flower shaped swirls of tan and white. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Very well made, in perfect condition. Height 9/16 inches.

In the foreground is a romantic scene in which a man sits with his face in his hands, a red bouquet of flowers beside him, watching a woman holding a blue parasol who stands gazing back. Markings include Hasui's red chop and signature, publisher seals in left margin, titled in right margin.

Hand thrown porcelain vase by Eugene (Gene) Francis Bunker (USA, born in Montana in 1928). Signed. Bunker was resident director at the Archie Bray Foundation, and Art Department head at UNC Asheville. His works can be found at the Mills College Art Museum, Prieto collection (he studied with Prieto); at the Portland Art Museum, etc.

This is a really pretty milk glass Paneled Grape Candy Dish with Cover, featuring the hand painted Holly Christmas decoration with red trim, made by Westmoreland Glass. The Candy Dish is signed WG. Hong Sung Dam is a woodblock print artist who was a leader of the minjung, the peoples' political movement that arose from the ashes of the Gwangju Massacre where the Korean government slaughtered hundreds (some witnesses say thousands) of their own citizens in the streets in response to demonstrations in Gwangju...

This really nice large frosted Bell with Clapper and Wooden Handle was made by Westmoreland Glass.
